My dad was in the Air Force and stationed in Key West - we lived there for 2 years. I was just a little girl - 7 or 8 - but I remember it was a beautiful place and I have lots of great memories from there. :D

Sandi, random question. How long did it take you to get pass 114 lbs? I've been at this weight for months!!! I feel more fit, and I feel somewhat lighter, but I weigh the same. It's soooooo frustrating. I usually work out 4 days per week on average, spinning twice a week, one day of intervals, then I do two full body classes (circuits, aerobics, kickboxing, or bootcamp). I'm thinking I should up my cardio and throw in 2 cardio days? What do you think?

Also, I guess I should mention that my body seems to slow down during allergy season. I'm always bloated and get rounder in the face. I can't be like this for my wedding!!! Help... :(

I still can't believe you're 45. In your picture you look like an elder Sister to your son, not his Mother and that is the honest truth.

You have shown people what a beautiful, inspirational, rolemodel you are and you've given such a lot to yourself, in an honest way for hard worked for results that you truly deserve.

Have a great day and enjoy yourself misses, because you deserve it. You are a 45 year old superwoman and a truly wonderful Lady. Were lucky to have you here and we do apprecate it a lot.

I wish you nothing but a tonne of happiness, sunshine, rainbows, warmth and smiles for the coming 12 months. You're definitely worth it.

:).

Thank you everyone for all of the birthday wishes!!!!!! :D It was a very nice day. While I was out the kids went to the store and got cupcakes and candles and when i got home they sang Happy Birthday to me. I was soooo touched that I almost cried! Sooo, of course I had to eat a cupcake (or two  ). Man, were they goooood!!!!

Anna, I was stuck at about 113 forever!!! About a few months. I added cardio and timed my carb intake then I went down in weight. However....it is very difficult to maintain. Now that my kids are in sports is very difficult for me to do the evening cardio and I was really stressing about when I was going to fit it in. Since then I have decided that while I want to reach my goals it is not healthy for me to be so obsessed about it. As I said, Anna, we have lives to lead and you are getting married very soon!!! You most likely will not have time to put in the extra cardio and you need your energy for the wedding. I have decided to nix the extra cardio for now since I am so busy now and summer is almost here and I definetly won't want to do it then!! If I stay where I am for the summer then fine! I may pick it up again in the fall and blast it out when I have more time. So one session a day is good with summer activity in there also. I am sure you look great at 114. I think that was my weight when I got married 2 yrs ago and I love how I looked in my pictures. I am sure you will be stunning!!

Once again, thank you all for helping make my 45th so special and for sharing my success one year later and 25 lbs less!!

Good morning. my friends!! Well, my "party" day is over and back to business. This morning my trainer hit me with a leg workout using the leg press and Smith machines. Holy cow, it was hard!!! I leg pressed 300 lbs which for me was alot! 3x10! Then we went over to the Smith machine and did some squats and lunges. After my weight workout I ran 1 mile on the treadmill at 7.0. My legs and butt are sooo sore already!!

It's going to be a beautiful weekend here so I am planning on starting my garden. That will be a lot of work but I am up to the challenge. I hope you all have great weather and fun things planned!! :D

Perhaps you could try changing the Treadmill work after Legs, for Excercise Bike work. That way although you're using your Legs for cardio, you're not loading the upper body weight on them too, as it should be channelled away from them, into the Seat or Saddle.

This should hopefully promote better recovery of Leg muscles, by reducing Cardio based taxation post-workout.

Hi, everybody! Thank you for the belated birthday wishes. :D Bonnie, was a very busy weekend. Phew! Sports, kids...all that jazz! Was sooo hot here too. About 90 degrees. So, I have decided to go very low carb for the next 2 weeks till I leave for Fla. I hope I can make it!! I didn't have my oatmeal this morning and felt a bit more tired than usual at work later. Nothing I couldn't push through, tho. Today was:

4:45 a.m.-protein shake w/water

5:00 a.m.-full-body workout and kickboxing w/trainer

6:15 a.m.-protein shake with water

7:30 a.m.-mushroom omelette
strawberries

11:00 a.m.-2 lf string cheese
22 almonds

1:30 p.m.-1 cup chic broth
steamed chicken
green beans

4:40 p.m.-1 can tuna w/onions
grape tomatoes

7:30 p.m.-grilled salmon
brussels sprouts

will have snack before bed.

So, I am kinda hungry right now and a bit cranky...yikes, it's going to be a looong 2 weeks! I hope you are all well and gettin yo fitness on in a big way!!!!
