Oh man, I would SOOOOOOOO not want to be going in that direction either. As you say, the boys are getting bigger, and getting more independant, more able to do for themselves. Someone at Church said, "oh you two have such cute kids, you should have more"......NOT! Were they like trying, or was it a deer-in-the-headlights thing....sandigirl06 wrote:Yes, Iron is a very full schedule. Throw a few kids into the mix and is insanity! It's ok, though I am a big girl and I can handle it. This is what life is all about. Striving and reaching for the stars. One word that cannot ever be applied to me is LAZY! I detest lazy people who complain about their fitness or lack of it. Our physical condition (barring medical conditions, of course) is one of the things in life we can change.....so do it!!!! I know a lot of these people. Especially at work. They complain to me about their weight and constantly ask me advice on diet and exercise. I tell them and 15 mins later they are downing a bag of chips or eating pizza! I give up! LOL Anyway, today is a much better day since I just finished my morning cardio and now home sipping on a delicious protein/fruit smoothie I made while the kids are at school. Ahhhhhh! About my trainer (who is awesome!), he pretty much just handles the exercise aspect of my program. I get most of my dietary advice right here on ShapeFit!!! I never knew how to eat until I came here. What a difference. Good advice and a little bit of discipline sure do go a long way!!!Your right about people that way, we just think everything has to taste like a Boston Creme, and I think we have programmed our taste buds to accept only that. Back in days when most people lived on farms, and raised there own food, they didn't have triple mocha latte's and the such, it was more natural foods. So to me we've done this to ourselves as a society, and you actually have to go out of your way sometimes to find good natural foods, the junk is much faster, and easier...just run to the drive-thru. I think your a great model, proving what CAN be done, if one sets there mind on it. You work, have kids, hubby etc. If anyone has a full list of excuses, it would be you, but you don't go there.
Soooo, off the topic. My TWIN sister is pregnant with twins at 45 years old!!!!!! WOW, I am sooooo happy and then kinda like...U CRAZY!!! LOL Our goals at the moment are sooo different! She is having babies and I am getting into the best shape of my life! I couldn't imagine starting all over again. Now my kids are older and can stay home while I can get to the gym. The beauty of middle age and I will take full advandage of it! Well, off to the rest of my day. Some cleaning would be good. More cal burn. LOVE IT!
