Thx, Boss, I never really noticed the time thing till Will pointed it out!!! Soooo, Will, you ROCK at math! I shudder at the sight of numbers. My husband is at a base in Pensicola, Fla. Not exactly palm trees and white beaches. Awww, poor thing!! They have had terrible weather there too!! It's been warmer HERE than down there. HA! I love it. So last nite I went back to the gym and rode the stationary bike for 1 hour. It was harder than I thought! I rode at 14 mph on level 5 for a distance of 13.93 mi. I really enjoyed the newness of it, though. Here's how my day went:

8:15 a.m. rise-protein shake

8:30 a.m.-1 hr ellip steady

10:15 a.m.-protein smoothie w/2 scoops protein, strawberries, banana, 2 tbs peanut butter.

1:00: p.m.-lean ground turkey w/taco seasoning and kidney beans.

3:30 p.m.-2 lf string cheese
handful of peanuts.

6:30 p.m.-grilled salmon
brussels sprouts

8:45p.m.-1 hour stationary bike 13.93 mi. @ level 5

10:00 p.m.-protein shake

Yeah, my meals are lacking today. Was busy running around with the kids but I guess it coulda been worse. At least no junk in there! :D So far today I went for my training session and we did kettlebells again with treadmill intervals. Wow, very difficult. well, time to make breakfast! Have a great day! :D

Hey and I hope you all had a great Friday!!! Today was a lazy day for me and I was lovin it! Haven't seen one of these days in a looong time. My 2 younger step-sons have been with my in-laws for the Spring break so was kinda quiet around here. I managed to sleep most of the day! Was kind of a cool and dreary day so it was perfect sleeping weather. Todays meals:

4:45 a.m.-protein shake w/water

5:00 a.m.-kettlebell workout and treadmill intervals with trainer.

6:15 a.m.-protein shake w/water

8:30 a.m.-mushroom omelette
oatmeal
strawberries

11:00 a.m.-2 lf string cheese
handful of peanuts

3:00 p.m.-lean ground turkey w/taco seasoning and kidney beans
spring mix salad with tomatoes and a spritz of lite vinegrette

skipped a meal here cause I was napping!

7:00 p.m.-grilled salmon
brussels sprouts

9:15 p.m.-1 hr ellip steady

10:45 p.m.-protein shake with w/ ff milk

So I have to work tomorrow and that is a bummer so up early for my cardio. Nite-nite!!!

:D .....yuh I like numbers, though I don't always guarantee my answers.... Bummer for him, the weather is crappy. He must be in a different area than Les. Hopefully, it will be nice when you go down at least. Sounds like a quiet day, those can be so nice, when your used to having 85 kids running around. A nice slow pace, and your body actually getting a chance to relax....think its a gr8 stress reliever. Nice job getting out of bed early for cardio.....

Oh yeah, Will I did a REALLY good job getting up this morning for cardio. Listen to this....soooo, I set my alarm last nite for 5:00 a.m. so I could get there by 5:30. I get up, get dressed and get in my car and my car clock says 4:20!!!! I immediately grab my phone and yep, it's only 4:20 a.m.!! When I set my alarm last nite some how I unknowingly pushed the clock time up one hour!! Oh well, good thing my gym is 24 hrs cause I just rolled out and was at the gym by 4:40 a.m.!!! An interesting start to my day. Next time I will double check that time. I hope everyone is having a good weekend! :D

4:15 a.m.-protein shake w/water.

4:45 a.m.-1 hr ellip steady

6:00 a.m.-protein shake w/water

7:45 a.m.-mushroom omelette
strawberries

11:00 a.m.-2 lf cheese sticks
1 oz peanuts

1:45 p.m.-lean ground turkey w/kidney beans and taco seasoning
asparagus

4:00 p.m.-protein smoothie w/2 scoops powder, 2 tbs nat pb, 1/4 cup ff milk

8:00 p.m.-steak
1 crab cake (a lot of lump meat. not fillers or fried)
asparagus
mushrooms sauteed in olive oil

I wanted to get back to the gym tonite for some stationary bike but dinner ran late cause of schedule issues with kids and had to do some Saturday night chauffering. It's fine though cause I can use the rest. Tomorrow is OFF day and I will be trying no carbs. This will be tough because my mother-in-law has invited me to dinner. She did tell me she was having fish so that is encouraging because she is Italian and usually serves pasta on Sundays. Wish me luck, my friends!! Needless to say I am tired tonite as I have been up since 4 a.m.. Sooo, time to retire. Nite!

Good job! I'm about your height, but weigh 114lbs foreverrrr, can't seem to get past it! I also have a trainer that meets with me MWF to work on weights and intervals and I do cardio on my own. My biggest problem is eating too much and not doing enough cardio consistently! What motivates you to keep doing it day after day? You are awesome! :D

Hi, Anna! Well, first off let me say that looking at your pic you are quite an adorable girl!!! Looks like you are not far off from your ideal weight. Yeah, funny I got stuck at the ole 114 lbs too!! Was there for a couple of months at least. I just added in some extra cardio sessions and changed a few things in my diet that where holding me back. Got rid of sugary yogurts, and changed some of the timing for my carbs and things moved a bit again. The motivation part is easy! I just think of the alternative...feeling sluggish, unhappy and unhealthy. I did not like that at all which is why I started my new lifestyle. I already feel great but I have a visual in my head of how I would like to look. With time and consistancy I know I will get there and I am really looking forward to it and enjoying the journey. Sure, I slip up on diet and sometimes skip workouts but I just keep going without looking back. It sounds like you know where your weaknesses are. Just try to build up. There are many times I do not feel like doing my cardio or I really want those donuts at the office but I am spending money out of our tight budget for a trainer so why would I throw it away by not doing what i like to call my "homework"? Diet and cardio. Sounds like our workout routines are pretty similar. My trainer is pretty tough. I love/dread our workouts! You can do anything you set your mind to.....anything!!!! Just make the time and make it your lifestyle and it is yours. Good luck with your goals and we are always here for you!!! :D

Thanks, Sandi! Does Chobani count as sugary yogurt? I eat at least once per day... And I think I'll add more cardio in and let you know how it goes!!

There once was a time when I was having a Chobani yogurt everyday but I have since givin those up. Too much sugar content for me. I switched them up for lowfat cheese. I am not saying you shouldn't have them it's just that I don't eat them because I am really cracking down on my sugar intake. I know they have plain but I just hate the taste! Let me know how things are going, Anna. You will reach your goals if you put your mind to it and commit yourself.

Sooo, today was my off day which meant no carbs. It was not that hard even though I went to my mother-in-law's for dinner. here's how it went:

11:30 a.m.-plain omelette
3 turkey sausage links (yeah, I slept really late :D )

2:15-1 can tuna-plain
2 lf cheese sticks
2 hard boiled eggs

5:00-protein shake w/water
1 oz peanuts

7:00-baked rainbow trout
2 lf cheese sticks

will have a snack before bed.

I could def do this once a week. I prob could have used more cals but was an off day and I pretty much just laid around. 8) Tomorrow morning is training. I wonder what my trainer has in store for me. Ohhh, the anticipation!!! I will find out soon enough, that's for sure. Have a good nite everyone! :D

Sandi, what are IF cheese sticks? What type of cottage cheese do you eat? I tried cottage cheese for the first time today, and it is ok... I guess that's why its called diet food. It's filling, so I'll continue to eat it for its protein and calcium.

Anna, that is low fat string cheese. haha. I don't know why but I call them cheese sticks. Cottage cheese is not one of my favorites. I tried to like it but I just can't!! If you don't like something don't eat it. If you do then you will get discouraged with healthy food. Def find things you enjoy eating. Remember...this is NOT a diet but a lifestyle change, young lady! :D

Wow, guys I am soooo exhausted from a very long day starting with a wicked workout! No, Will my trainer was NOT nice or very sympathetic to my constant whining!! What a beast he is! We did a very tough medicine ball full-body workout and kick-boxing. I am feeling sore already. Then I went to work and literally ran around an office for 9 hours! We were sooo busy! Had a good day food-wise, I think. :D

4:45 a.m.- protein shake w/water

5:00 a.m.-full body workout & kickboxing

6:15 a.m.-protein shake w/water

7:30 a.m.-mushroom omelette
oatmeal
strawberries

11:30 a.m.-2 lf string cheese
22 almonds

1:30 p.m.-1 cup chicken broth
steamed chicken
broccoli

4:30 p.m.-celery w/nat pb
2 hardboiled eggs

8:00 p.m.-grilled salmon
brussels sprouts.

Looks like my cals are up some today. Was very hard to get my snacks in at work but I managed. Everytime I tried to eat something the Dr called my name...the nerve! GRRRRRR!!!!! After all that food I am still a bit hungry. Yeah, Will without commitment I can't succeed have to be on my toes. Getting up early for cardio tomorrow cause I have appts after the kids get to school so another 4:30 rise tomorrow. Gotta love my 24 hr gym!! Well, hope everyone is having a good nite! :D

Just wanted to chime in and say great job! Nutrition looks great, exercise looks intense, and you definitely have a terrific mindset. Love the idea that you're approaching this as lifestyle as opposed to quick fix. Go, Sandi, go!

Hi Sandi! Ahh cheese sticks. Yes I was wondering how you were snacking on cottage cheese like popcorn! That stuff is ehhh. I'll try cheese sticks. But I think I'm lactose intolerant, I've been getting stomach aches and really gassy.

Sandi, how many calories should we eat per day? How many calories do you consume? Is 1200 to 1500 too low?
