Just joined the forum after a couple of weeks of browsing. I'm 26 and a mother to a 4 year old. I used to be quite slim and fit without even trying... but low and behold time has caught up with me and my metabolism just isn't the same as when I was a teenager. I lived last year making some pretty horrible diet decisions and my peak weight (not considering while I was pregnant) was 149lbs. I was not willing to let the scale go one digit above into the 150's... Since January 25th 2012 I've been committed to working out 3x/wk min at a local gym and have since lost 12lbs!
My goal is to get to 125lbs by July 25th and I feel like I'm well on my way.
I've had experience working with a Physical Trainer who led me through various "athletic training" exercises and have incorporated a lot of what she taught me into my routines. I now work out 3x/wk at the gym and 1-2x at home/wk. I'm feeling great! Just some stubborn tummy fat still persists. I'm not too concerned, I know it will go as I keep on track. I'm building muscle so my weight loss might be a little slower than if I were to do all cardio all the time.
I'm so in love with my new fit lifestyle that I want to totally surround myself with health... I recently got hired at a local well-known gym, and plan on taking Physical Training courses this year. I want to help and inspire others to reach their goals.
Just wanted to introduce myself and I'm looking forward to getting and giving support, encouragement and advice!
