Postby stager_1980 » Tue May 15, 2012 11:45 am

Dear all,

since last 2 months i have started pushups. After one month i started reaching 25-30 reps in one single row and then i started one arm pushups with inclined support for palms(as i am not able to do even a single repetition on floor),but i am getting pains in both the elbows..what should i do...i am quite obsessed with building core strength and also stamina.i cannot find time for gym and i m not intrested in it either.

Pls help

Vasu

Stop doing them then and stick to regular ones then.

I obviously cannot see how you have been doing these, but I suspect the pushup varient you are describing may be something you shouldn't really be doing and you would be better sticking to the normal ones.

Agreed, they aren't even usefull anyway, you will end up hurting your shoulders and elbows... It would be safer and more benificial to do dips for those muscle groups.

You do things slowly. You have to warm up first. It won't be easy in the first few tries but you'll surely get there soon.

Honestly I've tried an assortment of different variations of push-ups. But I've never been able to get into a position comfortable enough to perform a one-handed push-up. :(

Same here, but I'm not bothered by it.
