Somewhere I saw a suggestion to mount a door chinup/pullup bar about 24 inches off the floor. You then lay on your back beneath the bar and pull yourself up ... like an inverted pushup. It provides a great upper body workout.
Is there an "official" name for this exercise? I'd like to see if there are any proper form guidelines, but don't know what to search for. Thanks!
Name this exercise please!

Hi Bob, good to to talk to you.
I think they're just called pull-ups or chinups, I don't think there is a specific name for those, other than the ones I mentioned.

I think they are called by several different names--along with the ones Boss mentioned, I've heard Australian row, supine row and inverted row.

Thanks for the info. I was able to find some Youtube videos on this which really helps. I'm doing these as prep for chin-ups which are a little beyond fitness level at this moment.
