A Note To New Users In Particular

When you post messages, please don't put a message on the board, then copy / paste it somewhere else, it can cause problems.

This is not me having a go at newbies, but if you get two responses to the same question, on different board areas, certain things can happen like,

A: The responses may greatly differ, causing confusion for you, as one responder isn't aware of the others message, and this may cause confusion for them too.

B: The answers could be very similar, meaning whoever posted theirs second, is wasting some of their time, when they don't have to, answering something that's been answered elsewhere, in the same kind of way.

This means if their time is limited, they could then be doing that, instead of answering another question instead.

I appreciate sometimes you feel you might get your questions overlooked, and yes occasionally that happens, which is just human error, not a load of people ignoring you, or on rare occasions, it could be a very specialised question, and maybe only 1 or 2 people can help you, and they might not be around for 1-2 days perhaps. Life circumstances dictating.

So this means you have to be patient on boards like this, and not think you'll get responses quickly. Often you do get one within 30 minutes to 6 hours, sometimes it can be 24-36 hours, possibly longer, but 99% of the time, you'll get one, and we do try to help, and we do care, but we are human, so sometimes things get overlooked, or a question is too difficult to answer.

We can't and shouldn't have to apologise for that, that's the same for all messageboards, we're no different, that's part of the messageboard culture.

Hopefully you understand. As new members as long as you respect this board and others, and don't act huffy or rude etc etc, then we want you to participate, feel involved, and enjoy being part of this site, but you just have to sometimes think before you post, that's all we ask, as it's a two way thing, and we try as much as possible to do that for you.

You support and respect this site, we'll do what we can to support and respect you, as much as can be possible.

Hopefully you understand.

Best wishes, and thank you for joining. Even if you ask a load of stuff, you still make a difference, and it is appreciated.

:) :).

Thank you. I help to run a tight ship. I couldn't do a lot of what is necessary, without an Admin who is around and does listen. I've used sites before, run by people who are virtually non-existant, and when they are the last part of a problem solving process, regards spam, layout problems, troublesome members etc etc, them not being there, reduces site quality, by allowing problems to persist.

I also do what I do with the assistance of Cassie now, which is a move I put forward and have always been proud to endorse . Anything and anyone that benefits Shapefit is my bag :).

Good to have you around :).
