Which is better? Pilates or TaeBo/Billy Bootcamp

Postby ChinaChao » Tue Jul 19, 2005 7:25 pm

I used to do Billy Bootcamp but this past week I've been doing 1 hr. accelerated Pilates... And I mean what I should do in terms of maintaining my weight loss and possibly even losing an extra 5 more pounds (although no rush for that). THANK YOU in advance!

My opinion is to do both.Variety plays a huge part in losin weight, especially that last bit, I should know.If you get bored you will give up and your body needs to be suprised to make it work harder.I tend to do half an hour of a different workout dvd evryday and i dont get bored.

I would concentrate on your diet. Nutrition plays mopre of a cristical factor in fat loss than exercise. As far as Pilates and Bootcamp....both expend calories. Pilates is more core-based work, and bootcamp is more cardiovascular-based work. However, I am more of a fan of eating right adn hitting the core---so go with Pilates. As always, variety is key!
