You know you're a runner when....

...you have more running clothes in your laundry pile than regular ones.

...you get an invitation to a wedding and you automatically think about what race the date will conflict with.

...you wear your running watch even when you're not running. ("It matches, right?")

...your holiday wish list can be fulfilled at any running or sporting goods store.

...you know where exactly one mile from your front door is (in any direction).

anyone see themselves here? :D

What are your telltale signs of being a runner?

....when you pack a suitcase for a trip and your main concern is how many running outfits and shoes to bring - and will there be enough room left for your "regular" clothes. :D
(I must confess - I pack my running shoes and running clothes, hydration belt, mp3 player, & handheld water bottle holder in my carry on bag...can't risk losing any of that! )

All of those lines fit me! Guess I'm a runner.
You know you're a runner when everyone around you refers to you as a runner!

Unless that is the individual being called a runner is a courier of drugs

That's how the band Dexy's Midnight Runners got their name, as it refers to a nighttime courier of the drug Dexadrine.

I don't think I'll ever be a runner. I only tend to do that sometimes when a bus is coming. Ha!.

You know you're a runner when...

Your most prized purchase from last trip to Paris is... a pair of running shoes.

Your daydreams while driving frequently consider the road you're driving on and gauge the incline, wondering how easy it would be to run it.

You look at the runners in your neighborhood and are instantly able to tell if you could keep pace with them.

Your Pinterest boards are covered in motivational running quotes.

Your 'get-back-in-the-saddle' run is about 5 times further than anything your non-runner friends could stomach.

I'm always staring at the side of the roads I'm driving on, deciding if they are "run worthy"

Or you recognize your running friends 1/4 mile away, just by their running style.

Or..you know you're a runner when an unexpected situation arises and you immediately think "wait....how will this affect my run..."

Old running shoes never die, they just become your newest "daytime casual shoe"  I have retired running shoes in every color to match any outfit.

Yep. I've been running since Oct. 2010 and have 6 pairs of running shoes so far... LOL.

My first thought when getting sick yesterday was, crap... this means no run. :-/

I have a heel contusion on my left foot and I've been able to run without pain, but it really worried me at first that it hurt so much when I was barefoot and my immediate thought was how it would affect my ability to run (or go to boot camp). Thankfully the cushion of running shoes has been enough that the pain is not there at all as long as I have them on. :)
