Jumpstyle!

Postby wolfen147 » Thu Nov 05, 2009 9:49 pm

So last summer my friend and I got REALLY into this dance technique called Jumpstyle. It originated in England but was dominated by the majority of Europe. I'm trying to find a place to start doing it again. I lost a lot of weight when I was doing it a year ago. i think it makes for a great cardio routine. Here's a demo vid:

It's INCREDIBLY fun. I would go to my friend's house after school every day and we'd practice in his bedroom (which was the basement)

We got pretty good and school started so we had to stop. He kinda became a druggie so I don't hang out with him as much anymore. I might set up an area in my garage to do it in.

We're major technoheads so the music is an even bigger plus.

well i was thinking i could autotune it t pain style and i'd be more okay with it.

good call on not hanging out with the druggie. it's really hard but you gotta do it. life's better sans weed. trust me. anyway, that looks like soooo much fun. i'm all about mixing cardio. i'm going to have to investigate this further i think.

thanks for the link Wolf...that looks incredibly fun and I agree that it would be a great cardio workout. I'm not sure my legs could take the pounding and the jumping - too old :( - but I would definitely give it a try anyway, just to see what its like. maybe do it on a soft grassy surface to lessen the impact?
You know you are gettin old when you watch something like that and immediately start thinking about damage control - how bad is this gonna hurt me and can I even do it? :P
Anyway, I think you are really onto something with that. Awesome! Oh yeah, by the way, I have those shorts too...I may be older, but I'm still cool!! Ha! :D

I got mine @ lerner on a buy one get one. So I think they were like 10 bucks. I've had them for years. Actually I think they were free cos my sister paid for em!

Anyway, yeah I'm pretty excited. That looks like a lot of fun!!

And you could hire out to guys with lots of self-winding watches that they want to keep fully wound...
