Urgent Advice!!

Hello everyone this is my first post on this site......

Ive just gone through major surgery (foot reconstruction) and will be in a cast for 6wks (no weight bearing on injured foot} and an aircast boot for a further 4 wks
With the help of crutches and a wheel chair i can get around but otherwise its bed, bathroom and sofa
and vice versa for about 10 wks so lots of inactivity watching crap tv and dvd.

I'm looking for advice on diet and exercise as i''m concerned i may put on weight.
About three months ago and knowing this was about to happen i started watching my carb intake.
I have been given exercises for the leg on my damaged foot however i need to look at my upper body.

I would appreciate if there was someone out there that could give me some advice.

What are your current meal choices and what times do you eat them?

This migh be potentially the primary focus for now, but of course muscle stimulation can feature too, as there's no reason to assess one thing and rebuff the other, but I think focus on diet just at this moment should be the main thing :).

Breakfast: Oats with a sprinkle of sultanas

Lunch: Small portion of quiche with tomato salad

Dinner: Minced Beef/ Chicken/Lean Hamburger with either salad or mixed veg

Mid morning and supper one green apple
Five or six cups of tea with semi skimmed milk (no sugar} per day

Sorry did not mention meal times.

Breakfast: 9am

Lunch: 1pm

Dinner: 7.30pm

(Add more protein in with snacks too and consider fatty acid sources like Flaxseeds, Avocado, Nuts, Peanuts, low fat Cheese, Tofu, edible oils etc.)
