Need help with a diet plan

Post by Anonymous123 »

On Monday I will be starting a HIIT training programme- with the aim to lose weight quickly. On the particular programme I will be following, it says I should be consuming around 2000 calories. It suggests 40% should be protein, 40% fat and 20% carbs. Would anybody be able to help with a diet plan to follow? It would be much appreciated.

Hi Anonymous123, good to speak with you.

This kind of system might work for you. It's something I've posted before.

Breakfast

Option 1.

Bowl of Whole-grain Cereal and scrambled Eggs, (2 Egg Whites + Yolk)

Option 2.

Protein shake, small portion of Nuts, (excluding higher carb ones like Cashews, Chestnuts and Grapenuts).

Snack

Option 1.

Portion of Turkey + Orange

Option 2.

Small Portion of Peanuts, some Chicken

Lunch

Option 1.

Large Beef Sandwich with trimmings, I.E. Tomato, Lettuce, Cucumber etc.

Option 2.

Bowl of Chicken Soup, + Pot of yoghurt.

Snack

Option 1.

Turkey + Cashews

Option 2.

Ham + 2 large Tomatos

Dinner

Option 1.

Pork with mashed Potato.

Option 2.

Chicken and Rice

Option 3.

100g Halibut + Broccoli

Snack

Option 1.

Beans on Toast

Option 2.

Ham Sandwich, no trimmings.

Easy on the bread with both options.

You could add a few things to certain meals, like Sea Salt, Cracked Black Pepper, Parsley, Mustard, Herbs, Garlic.

Hi There,

to properly advise you on the amounts you should be eating etc, we will need a little more information. I would like to say, 40% protein is generally overkill.. Judging by your caloric intake, and taking into account your HIIT as well, I would estimate you are probably about 140-160lbs.

If you could advise on your weight, that would be fantastic. But for me, I find a protein intake of roughly 0.8g/lb of bodyweight is generally more than enough. More than that and body doesn't know what to do with it! This does differ from person to person, but it is a good starting point.

Cheers

If you want another option you should defiantly check out the Focus T25 Meal Plan. You are able to pick and choose the meals you want based off of your weight loss goal.

I have been using for several months now and love it!
