Im not loosing weight PLEASE HELP

hi everyone, im new to the forum.I need some advice. i would like to loose 35kg. i jog 5 times a week and to some exercises 2times with 2dumbells.

on most days my diet is like this:-
morning-40g all bran with milk and half a banana

snack-boiled egg and half an apple

Lunch-tuna or egg salad or sandwich

snack-half apple or any other fruit.

supper-40g brown rice,2veggies and small piece of lean meat.

according to fit.com im consuming about 1200to1500calories which is well within the range i should be able to loose weight.
I started jogging begining sept and have lost only 2kg since then.WHY am i not loosing weight?PLEASE HELP!

Youll need more like 2k calories to loose any weight, possibly more. Height/weight etc?

More veg, and more protein. Try and get some of each in every time you eat.

    Thanks Lesplease. Im 5'3 and weigh 104kg.I have come down from 106 kg.

    how can i get more protein to my diet? how much is the right amount?

    Concentrate on what you eat... Your calories intake is really low...
    You don't want to starve yourself.. you want to give your body energy to burn more calories by eating the right food. :wink:

    A digital food scale and a note book are two of the most important tools you can have for weight loss.

    Weigh everything you eat. You might be kidding yourself on calories.

    Write down everything you eat. Go on-line and see what each item's caloric value is and add up your daily totals.

    Writing things down does more than tell you how many calories you take in; it acts as an accomplice to your will power. You are less likely to cheat if you write things down.

    Im currently recording my food diary on fit.com.

    I had a high protein supper last night and this morning i was feeling a little sluggish no energy. is this co incidence?

    I would contribute that more to the 1200cal diet than the one night of protein in the eve.

    What was in the high protein supper you had?

    Also, sorry to post then abandon you. I have an exam tomorrow, and I've been flakey lately (: I'll look more carefully tomorrow (after the test!) and see if I can help more. Nokie and Packsy poo are pretty gr8 so take notes!!

    I had 40g chicken breast,2medium carrots,4slices of home made beetroot,and green beans.
    2hours i had 1/4 cup of peanuts.

    another concern is that peanuts a very high in fat.that serving has 214kj with 18g fat,7.9g carbs,8.6g protein.this cant be good?is it?

    Peanuts are high in monounsaturated fats, with some polyunsat's in there too. Saturated fat is what you need to look out for. Healthy fat is good. Saturated fats should be <10% of your total daily fat intake. I certainly wouldn't eat a LOT of peanuts, but as a snack each day, they can't be beat (:

    If it has transfats, don't eat it.

    and i thought fat was just FAT.so many fats yho.lol.yes you right. that portion has 9%monosaturated fat,5.2polysaturated fat and 2.5%saturated fat.

    I dont see anything about transfats.where else are they normally found(WHICH FOODS)?why is it bad?

    Transfats are unnatural. They are not found in regular food, only processed. They are unsaturated fats that have been hydrogenated (blown w hydrogen gas to saturate them). Mono/poly unsat fats are liquid, and sat fats are solid (olive oil v marbled steak. See the difference?). Transfats were created to be solid at room temperature. They are used in frying and food processing. So check labels. It will say "Total Fat" then under that there may be a "Sat Fat" "Trans fat" Section. If there is a transfat, don't eat it.

    Transfats are something that the body doesn't exactly know how to use, and as a result, they have a whole host of problem associated with them. Not the least of which are related to cholesterol and other cardiovascular issues. Transfats are so bad that New York City, Philly, Boston, Seattle, and I think Chitown Cali and Houston, have all banned them. If you are caught using them in your restaurant, you will be shut down and fined. Cool huh?

    FINALLY some progress. weighed myself a few minutes ago. its 7kg down and COUNTING.

    yes i have increased my calorie intake to 1800.next week i will take it up to 2100.i did not want to increase it that much this week since i was not workin out due to my injury.i bought a protein shake as well, started on it yesterday.
