Breakfast

Post by polsmiff »

Hi guys
any tips on a good breakfast to help with losing weight.
I have a 45 minute drive to work everyday so was wondering if there is something i could eat on the run. I was thinking of a slimfast shake as it has lots of nutrients but they are high in carbs...good/bad?
Any thoughts cheers

Hello and welcome to the site!

Slimfast sucks dude! Try going whole foods.

perhaps...
Banana
Apple
Hardboiled egg (shell removed prior to driving)
piece of cheese

or perhaps a western sandwich, make before and eat on way

travel cup of milk
mixed raw, unsalted seeds & nuts with granola
piece of fruit... pear, nectarine, banana, apple, plum, grapes

anything that is safe for driving... so no bowl of cereal or bowl of oatmeal and such.

Go with whole foods!!

Agreed, Slim Fast not healthy at all! Vamp has some good suggestions and I would also like to add Greek Yogurt w/ some berries and a low carb wrap filled with an egg, a few egg whites, spinach and salsa.

Protein pancakes made with protein powder, oatmeal, egg whites, and fruit are easy and quick to make as well.

Why?

Could they be considered superior to something like Broccoli for example?

A glass of almond milk and oatmeal cookies can be a good choice. These two has the nutrients which our body needs every day, you can also eat some turkey sandwich in the morning and have some tea. I usually eat breakfast at home with kids, we used to eat chicken/turkey sandwich with alfalfa it is very tasty and it helps you to keep going.

You may opt to eat banana and egg before leaving your home so you will have enough energy to spend the whole day.
