I think it's not really good. No problem for me since I don't like sodas and usually drink water. I would stay away from it or at least I wouldn't consume big amounts of it. Have you tried fruit juices? They taste good and are healthy.

I use Gatorade on occasion for re hydrating after a long or intense outdoor run or workout. I don't generally drink it at any other time.

http://www.dietfacts.com/html/nutrition ... u53491.htm

It looks to be a bit high in salt - 200 mg per 8 oz serving (for re hydration) and it does contain sugar so as with most things, just don't over do it.

The carbs in gatorade come from the sugar, so in my opinion (and that is not saying much!) I would think they are "bad" carbs.

Hope this helps :D

so what is something good to drink, that tastes good as well? I like plain water better than the average person, but I gotta have something else as well.

I do drink some diet soda, but I would like to find something else. It seems like the stuff you would think is healthy like juice has as much sugar as soda.

I have really liked the Zero calorie SoBe Life Water. It is sweetened with an all natural sweetener made from extracts from the Stevia plant. There are only 25 mg. of sodium in 8 ozs. and 100% vitamin C. A bit high in price (I buy it at walmart for $1.00 a 20 oz. bottle) but if you buy it in bulk it may be cheaper. You might try a bottle of it to see if you like it (my favorite is the Fuji Apple Pear)

You can buy Stevia or Truvia at Walmart or a grocery store on the same aisle as Nutra Sweet or Sweet n Low

Oscar the lemonade mix sounds really good! Gonna have to try that.

im also addicted to the power edge drink mix for water. the tangerine strawberry flavor. that is NOT easy to find in stores so now i order it in bulk of like ten boxes and it lasts for like six months it seems.

i started useing a whole stick in a bottle of water and at first, it kivked in well and i loved it till i really researched it too, to find all that is in it. so now, i split the stick into thirds....1/3 per water bottle. this way i still have a lil flavor, some caffine and yet not TOO much. just enough to give it a kick bc i hate the taste of plain water. i can manage it but it doesnt clinch my thirst at all.

would anyone recommend a better water filler? im out and i need to either order more or try something else with water lol im having withdrawls and getting into the diet soda cravings!

So I sorta feel like this article should be taken with a grain of salt, but I did chem research for awhile, and man that benzene was nasty stuff. (:
