I have a tendency to do to much of anything when I start something my wife said I am obbsessive about going to the gym but it is a great release for me as I have made and ran into friends I hadn't seen in a while so it is not only a place to work out but is social in nature as well and my personal time from the rest of the world which I know a lot of folks on here would agree with. I guess I worked so hard to get where I am I am afraid that if I don't keep working hard I will go the other way and I need to get that part out of my mind that 7 days is not necessary or come to find out very healty either so I need to find a happy medium and just watch what I eat and things will be fine I am sure.

By the way I was in Canto a few years ago for the HOF

Thanks for the info. I was aware that there is a class action lawsuit going on. I have not been to the gym for 3 days now and will probably wait till the weekend to go again. I do feel a difference however small it is I think this break is helping. Chantix worked incredibly and I have no regrets in using it. The pharmacist told me it could take up to 6 months to start feeling normal again with the pills that I am now currently taking. I am now 2 1/2 months into it.
I have not tried any herbal medications yet as I really haven't done a lot of research on it but my sister in-law is a firm believer in them as she suffers with MS and needless to say has had her battles with depression.

I am hoping a few more days off from the gym and a less agressive gym routine when I go back will be the answer. I have changed my life a lot in the last 6 months having dropped 38 LBS and eating as healty as I ever have.

You're welcome and keep up the good work. I take 5-6 days off completely every 6 months or so and it helps. You come back stronger. Rest is just as important as working out. Ease back into it and maybe take 2 days a week off instead of one. Good luck.

Yes, the HOF is a big deal here. I never go. I am not a football fan at all but almost everyone I know loves it.

Inositol a.k.a Vit B8, has shown positive effects on people with depression and OCD, so would be a good choice in such situations yes :).

Thanks I will have to look into that as well. Today will be my 4th day without the gym and do feel better my body is recovering which is nice I really think I pushed it to hard last week. I may go back this weekend as I really do miss going but the good news it has forced me to really watch what I eat and I have yet to gain an ounce and actually lost 2 LBS so that is a good thing I guess. I am at my target weight of 170 right now and very happy about that.

Littleshelly,

That is funny how you live there and don't like football but I know it is not for everyone. I have a friend come over almost every Sunday to watch and his wife hates the game and only come and hour before dinner along with the wonderful desserts she makes.

Ok a quick update I took a week off from the gym and have been twice this week tonight will be the 3rd visit and maybe the last for the week. I feel like a whole new person now I guess I was over doing it. I met with a dietician last night and by the end of the meeting she was like why did you come here your diet is perfect. The reason my diet is perfect is because of all the great resources on here so to all a BIG THANK YOU.

My new goal is to maintain and find that happy place of not to much working out and not being so tight with the iet and see where it goes but I have confidence that I will be just fine

Cassie,

I owe my quick fix to you as you are the one that brought up the over training which I truly believe was my problem so Kudos to you.

I am looking forward to getting a new routine in place for maintaining and to see what works and what doesn't but 6-7 days a week at the gym are in the past 3-4 it will be
