Happy Easter to you!
My mom always gives me an Easter basket and I was dreading it too. I got a 1.36 kilo bag of trailmix from Costco, and some new spring-themed tea towels and stuff! Way better than giving me chocolate.

Have a great weekend!

thank you! i hope you had a great weekend as well. :D

today i had my nutrition class. learned about the dirty dozen (foods that are high in pesticides! ) also we were given challenges for this week. to cut out booze and flower, and caffeine and too much sugar. so today, i went out and bought all organic food. i also found out about this free app called fooducate. i tried to read the labels when i bought my stuff tonite to stay away from trans-fat and i was ticked. the emerald nuts i bought have it! the app graded it a d-. gerrrrrr. at least its only 5servings so it wont kill me. i just wont buy it anymore from now on. i'm really enjoying this! its fun! we were also told to buy two fruit or veggies we have never tried before and then share it next monday. how we prepared it and what we liked or didnt like about it. i have yet to buy that. i will try it this weekend. i'll look online for some recipes. :)

Organic food is more expensive and a survey not so long back, revealed that organic Potatos and I think from memory Onions and Carrotts were little better if at all than normal stuff.

A bit of pesticide is not the be all and end all. People worry about stuff too much.

i don't buy organic veggies and fruit. But i do think it's worth is to buy organic eggs, milk and meat. I know though there is a cost thing and boss does have a point that it may not be worth it with regards to fruit and veggies..

what do you think about stuff like jam, peanut butter, and bead? i bought the jam bc it didn't contain high fructose corn syrup. the bread bc its 100% whole grain, and the peanut butter bc it only had 3 ingredients.

PB&J sandwich!! In my opinion just about the most perfect meal one can eat.
As long as you (which you did) watch the ingredients closely. I buy all natural peanut butter. Finally found one with only one ingredient - peanuts. It has to be refrigerated. Also, on the jam, the less ingredients the better. Since it is pretty high in carbs with the jam, and the bread I would make sure you eat it earlier in the day.
The best thing is that you are reading labels, taking time to make healthier choices. I know I get on peoples nerves at the grocery store because I read EVERYTHING on the labels, comparing different brands. I swear I stood at the peanut butter for 10 minutes one day reading all of the labels before I chose one.
You're doing great! I'm so excited for you as you start this new class, it is such a positive step in your weight loss journey that will change your life forever.

That's mental, seeing just banks of ellipticals one after the other. Imagine what that would look like, if every one of them was being used with the exact same cadence. A plethera of people all moving in perfect synchronicity.

That really would look a bit weird

I kicked ass at the gym yesterday! We combined our weight loss class with fitness class bc on challenge Friday not many people come. Well we did weights and resistance bands. When my trainer went to tell each of us what to grab, the the trainer of the fitness group was shocked when she told me blue. He leaned to her and said are u sure? She says, oh she's go it she's strong. Only one other person was on blue and that was a already fit Guy in the fitness group. We did so much today. We did running man, squats, push ups, chest press, rows, 15 incline on the treadmill, 8 incline with it turned off and jogging (while forcing the belt to move), the list continues. All these things were done either on the treadmill, or behind. we were constinitly jumping on and off with these things.

I was the only one who jumped right into each phase. Others sat still to rest...I pushed! It was amazing! Also today I got a nice email from the Guy who did my checkpoint 3 weeks ago. He was asking my trainer about me so he asked how the nutrition is going and my stress level. That was cool of him to go out of his way like that when I don't even see him for another 5weeks. I'm so happy I did this I have a great support group here! :P :D   :o :)
