When you jog, what is the proper way to breath? From your mouth? From your nose? From your mouth and nose?

I'm pretty sure it's in through the Nose out through the Mouth.

I dont think a method of breathing matters, as long as you actually breathe you should be ok

eh im pretty sure your nose is a better filter of air then your mouth.

Do your best to breathe through your nose.

Not for volume though. The Back of the Nasal Passage is connected to the back of the Throat, and the Trachea, sits below that anyway, so expulsion of Air can easily occur through both, but volume wise the Mouth is the better one.

You'd notice quite a bit of difference, if you expelled Air out of your Nose, doing stuff like Pressing, Squats, Deadlifts etc etc, compared to oral expulsion.

Okay it's a different thing to running I know, but I think the principles would still apply. In through the Nose out through the Mouth.

Figure out what works best for you. I'm a runner and I can't even take one breath through my nose because it's always running. Typically breathing only through the nose isn't as good for volume like Bossman mentioned, but see what works best for you.

Its only better because your nose hairs filter out dust etc. But its not best for exercise as its harder to get enough oxygen into your body.

I was trying to concentrate on my breathing techniqe the other day and it is a bit difficult for me to breathe in the nose and out the mouth. Once I lost concentration I naturally went back to mouth breathing(and I have a big nose.hehe). I would also add that I would work on the nose breathing for outdoors running.
Nothing stops you in your tracks faster than a bug in your mouth!
