14 Year old, looking to lose weight and gain muscle.

Postby Astro » Mon May 12, 2008 6:27 pm

Hello All,

I'm 14 years old, I weigh about 150lbs. I'd like to lose around 10-20lbs over the summer, or at least before the year ends. I do not currently have any workout routine, nor access to a gym (though if it is absolutely necessary I can most likely get one). I do have a set of dumbells and an exercise ball. I would really like to get rid of the flab on my chest mainly.

Can anyone supply me with a routine that would make this happen by the start of the school year? :D

Thanks.

Unless you feel like spending a ton of $$$ on equipment I would get gym membership.

Go to the nutrition section and read "read before posting" by swans0.

Do you have lifting experience?

also since your only 14 i think some of that could be baby fat. lol no offense but, you're in what? 7th? 8th grade? You're still extremely young. I don't think you need to concentrate on loosing weight. you will fill out more at you go through puberty.

Depends on your weight. What's your weight?

If you're female, then you should be okay to lose 10-20lbs, if you're male, then don't try to lose, you're not overweight, you just need to reshape your body.

Sorry for both descriptions, I didn't see any mention of gender.

I'm male, sorry for the lack of info. What do you mean by reshape?

By reshape I mean change the ratio of Fat to Muscle, so you add a bit more muscle, and attempt to trim some Fat off, so you get a leaner and healthier end result.

A good diet and muscle building activity, helps to re-design the human form well.

Ahh

Are there any programs you would recommend? Keeping in mind that I would love to see some results by the end of the summer.

Thanks Again
