Can anyone recommend supplements/vitamins I should use or supplements geared for women? Whey protein, protein powder etc?

Whey protein, powder form, mixed with water or skim milk. I take one multivitamin a day, fish oil, glucosamine for joint therapy, BCAA's, and Glutamine (powder form).

Can you recommend some brands? The last multivitamin I took was Centrium (for old people, right? ) and it made my heart race. My doctor said it was probably the zinc, so I have not taken a multivitamin since. I do take fish oil pill though. Do you recommend kashi products?

I just use a generic complete multivitamin for women.

Kashi cereal is great because generally, it contains more protein than other brands. I like Kashi Go Lean Crunch!

Ok so i did some research for a 100% whey protein product and I've found these products to have great ratings:

-100% whey by natural factors
-100% whey goldstandard
-dedicated women - women's whey, vanilla flavored

Do all gold standards have artificial flavoring in it? Any other recommendations?

I have been using Dymatize and Casein Protien Optimum Nutrition( for nighttime last meal) brands for the past 2 years. I buy in bulk as they are cheaper that way and I purchase online at www.dpsnutrition.com.

You could try CLA (Conjugated linoleic acid) for weight maintainance/loss, its very wideley available, you can even buy in supermarkets. Defo get some Whey so your body doesn't start devoruing muscle for protien and to help repair and build the ones you already have.

I should probably get some flaxseed myself since I don't eat fish at all and I'm probably not really getting enough Omega-3... hmmm...

Don't necessarily need Flax asd an Omega-3 alternative to Fish.

Omega Eggs, caused by Chickens being fed Flax will do it, as will Soy, Nuts, and probably some healthy Oils, like Sesame etc etc.

Honestly, there are some fantastic supplements out there, if you just know where to look. I think some of the most beneficial ones are those that contain protein, antioxidants, phytonutrients, and vitamins and minerals all-in-one.

Again, it's all about knowing where to look, and how to pick the right products.
