Nah, I don't really despise my body that much! :P There a lot of work to be done on my thighs, butt & stomach area. My upper body has got some great definition going on already, but my lower body is going to take time & dedication. Have a look & decide for yourself!

Here goes nothing...

Will endeavour to put up pics with better lighting (and model! ) Not the greatest lighting in these, but the camera never lies! My definintion seems to just melt away under the lense... :x

I'm doing core work to combat my lordosis (pronounced lumbar curve), but if I had started going to the gym a lot earlier than three weeks ago, I could possibly have prevented it.

I've technically been going to the gym for a month, but I was sick the other week with the flu & the gym was out of the question for my health AND other peoples'. I train on a cardio & weights circuit 3 days a week and usually do yoga/pilates 1-2 days a week. I wasn't doing enough lower body stuff, but just did my first targeted lower body workout this morning and it nearly killed me!!! :P

I'm not looking to attain perfection. Of course it'd be nice to see thighs without a skerrick of fat in the mirror. :P But that requires the kind of gung-ho dedication that just isn't that important to me. I don't want to be the weirdo at the table who turns down a perfectly delicious meal because of it's carb/protein/fat ratios, nor do I always want to be the sober person at a party. I also don't have the time to counteract a less stringent diet with more exercise.

Fitness & health is achievable without living on skinless chicken and salad even if the perfect body isn't - and being healthy and happy more important to me than a perfectly toned belly!

Nothing wrong with you. Just stick to the things that are working and you'll be fine.

You're working hard to achieve things, and you've got what looks like good genetics / looks, so be proud of the progress, chin up, and keep at it.

Hun... You have a beautiful body. As others have said.. don't be too hard on yourself! If you've only been working out for the past three weeks then you really aren't too bad off. :)

If good genes are in the blood then perfectionism is too!

But, honestly I'm glad I put these up because
1: It puts the onus on me to continue updating my results
2: The feedback made me feel a bit more confident that those results ARE achievable

Sometimes when you're half-way up the mountain looking up seems a bit too daunting, and it's easier to just stay put and survey the progress you've made than keep struggling further up. But the view is best at the top! With your support I'm hoping to glimpse a view from the peak of my very own everest!

Thanks for all the support guys - My resolve is already better from spending time here! :D

Just keep believing and don't get down on yourself okay. You're young, but there's a world of potneital for you, that a little time, patience and a bit of loving can help to realise.

Chin up and good luck.

The comment that comes to me when I see your pics is not only that you are thin and beautiful, but you act like a thin and beautiful person, which means a lot for me who always walked, posed and acted like a fat and unconfident person (you can see an exemple in my post named "my "before" pics")

As i'm as perfectionist as you seem to be, I'd say keep up the good work and you'll get what you're looking for, but you've got a step in front because you act sexy and slim, something that i should learn I think.

Good luck on progress!

Funny that you say that, actually...

I used to be a lot thinner. I got down to just above 50kg, which is WAY underweight for my height. I wasn't exercising, just eating bugger-all - like one meal, no carbs & a latte per day. Pretty stuffed up really.

I've been trying to train myself to eat more over the last few months & it hasn't been hard to put the weight back on, but it has been hard to eat the right kinds of food.

I have a penchant for chocolate & I have been known to eat a whole SIX hot cross buns in one sitting!!!

So now that I've regained my appetite, I'm struggling to stick to the healthy stuff!! I feel your pain with the diet side of things.

I don't really know how to take what you said about acting like an attractive person, but I suppose it's a compliment?! Thankyou. :)

eenwoord: this WAS a compliment. I am an addict to chocolate so I understand all you're telling me! Seems like we're gonna have to take control of our diet and work hard to achieve our goal.

I take good example on cassie who really seem to know a lot about what we gotta eat, and when and how much...well she's way better than I am so I follow her advices.

BladeSlayer: really funny, real ppl don't clean up their room just to take a picture ;) Another thing that we have in common me and eenwoord :P

Hahahaha! Oh man that made me laugh! Yeah, my bed's made, but I sort of jumped about on it before the photo trying to fix the blinds to get some light in & there's a pile of books on the floor that I'm trying to get through - my own little personal library. Just finished Illusions by Bach & moving onto The Naked Lunch by Burroughs... I don't consider books to be mess. I suppose I could neaten them up a bit though! :P

ARGH! Yes chocolate is the bane of my existence. I realise sometimes that I don't even like chocolate that much unless it's REALLY good quality. But I still eat it & I eat MORE lower quality chocolate if I don't have any of the good stuff because it doesn't satisfy my cravings... :?

Hehe we DO sound like we have a lot in common Jennifer! :D Hopefully we can support each other through our "transformations"!

Speaking of which I'm going to take things up a notch from Monday for 10 days before I go on a Vipassana meditation camp. I'm going on a VERY strict diet of no fat, only pre/post workout carbs (wholegrains) & very lean meat. AND NO CHOCOLATE! I'm taking my workout up a notch too. I'm going to do high intensity cardio/resistance everyday. I'm basically going to try and reduce my body fat & increase my muscle mass as much as possible before the meditation camp.

I'm going to do a seperate post about it (& to explain the Vipassana a bit further) - I'll let you know where. I'm probably going to need all the support I can get to get through the 10 days though!!! :D

Your telling me that as a perfectionist you wouldn't tidy up your room before taking a pic of yourself?

Dude, couldn't be less bothered! I could hardly take a comment about my messy room as a personal attack - just sounds more like something I'd hear from my olds!

Next week I'll make sure there's not a skerrick of "mess" when I take the photos if it'll make you happy.

Ah sarcasm, the lowest form of wit, eh?
