How much cardio when trying to gain muscle?

Postby Daywalker934 » Mon Jun 08, 2009 3:06 pm

Hi, i've been working out for just over a year now, gains have been slow but steady, and I was just wondering how much cardio should I be looking at whilst still trying to gain muscle? How long should I do cardio for? and How many times a week? and any other tips, I just don't want to lose any of the muscle i've already gained, as I have worked hard for it.

many thanks :)

Cardio intensity

Hi Fitness pal,

To gain muscle and maintain cardiovascular wellness, i think it is important that you sequence your training such that, you alternate your schedules but keeping maximum of three days of between 15 to 20 minutes of cardio and three days of super-set weight-training at least an hour period. Then have one day full for complete relaxation.
After every weight training work-out, ensure a real relaxation moment to allow muscle growth.
Try this for two weeks and you will see the results.
