Need a diet plan

Postby Wrestler285 » Fri Jul 03, 2009 3:51 am

Hey all

I am a 265 pound 17 year old male. I am 6 foot 1 and strong so I am not just a butter ball but I still need to lose some weight. I would like to be around 245 so thats 20 pounds to lose. I have the exercise routine I need but I don't know too much about a good diet.

I exercise 1 hour a day and then go to wrestling practice for 2 hours 4 days a week. I usually bike around and up hills or run 2 miles and then swim some laps in the pool.

Well, I don't really have a set plan but I'll try to do this:

9:00 - Cereal, Bars like Power Bars or Tigers Milk and a glass of milk

1:00 - Usually a sandwich like Turkey, Tuna, or chicken. I should switch to whole wheat bread here.

3:30 - 4:30 Sometime in there I eat a small snack like some dried fruit or half a sandwich before I head to practice

7:30 Whatever is for dinner. I don't really have any control over this but it is usually not unhealthy. I guess I just need smaller portions.

9:00- 9:30 I might go grab another bar and a glass of milk or might not.

(I'd switch that for whole-grain Cereal instead, and you need something like Chicken, Turkey, Eggs etc etc for more Protein I feel.

I'd also have something in the mid morning as well, basically with a Protein and Carb source in it. So things like Low Fat Cheese, small Sandwiches, Peanuts etc etc.)

(That's fine)

(Not too bad)

(I'd have something like you could have mid morning, not just something or nothing.)
