A teaspoon of Honey with a couple of drops of lemon helps quiet a cough. :D I've also read where sipping hot water (as hot as you can stand) helps give immediate and lasting relief. Hope you get to feeling better soon!

Thanks all - I do the honey and lemon juice but you should only do it 3x per day or so I've read and use it like a hot tea. Only works for a short time. Believe it or not, I've found that gum is helping the most right now but as I'm allergic to aspertame and nutrasweet products, it limits my choices of chewing to bubilicious, hubba bubba and double bubble for the most part, which are all high in sugar.

Awe well, here's to no more cough.

If you can get them in America at all, don't buy Strepsils, they are absolutely terrible.

I got hassled into taking one once, and it's pathetic. You are supposed to let them dissolve in your Mouth.

1. You end up with a mouth brimming with Saliva, so you have to swallow. This means juggling the blasted Strepsil, until it's wedged between the Tongue and Teeth.

2. This worked about 2 x, then third time it accidentally slipped down.

3. This was after 10 minutes. It felt like the damn thing had shrunk about 10%, and given me 5% benefit max, if that.
