Thanks a million....really. My mate told Jess' parents that through this forum there are people in many parts of the world pulling for her, and they said to send their thanks. The hospital has put them up in a room nearby, so they can be close, but actually get some sleep. Turns out a guy in our Church is the emrgency room nurse, who is helping with her care. He wasn't there taoday as he was working, but I talked to his wife, and she said it amazing Jess is still alive. Apparently this is somewhat common, and people usually lose limbs (as she has) and very typically do not survive.

...on a lighter note we are off to the game, and gonna have some fun, and hopefully kick some boooty....

Hey Joc, sorry for the slow response. Super busy day, and everytime I get online someone calls, and boots me off.....grrrr. My own fault for being cheap.

Sun. 4-25-10

Weight--188.2

Had our VB playoff...YAY...we won. Beat them in 3 games, then stayed and ref'd the second and third place teams, and the number two team beat #3 in 3 games. So we will be in for a good match next Sunday. Barbie said we have never beat them, and I can't remember. We've obviously beat most everybody some to be in first. Time will tell.

Mon 3-26-10

Weight--188.6

Changing up my lifting schedule a little, as I felt really tired in our VB game. I played hard, but was really exhausted. Consequently, I will do HIIT mon. and sat. and do a FB on tues. So today, we did "Fygle" hill sprints. Went behind our house on the snowmobile trail that is quite steep, and ran as fast as we (Barbie went with me) could up the hill for 30 sec. then back down slowly for 90 sec. We did 5 at this pace, but HR wasn't really dropping enough, so extended the slow walk to 120 sec. and did five of these. Really was sweating, and HR was flying, though I didn't measure it, we were definately breathing heavy. (nothing kinky here.... )

Hey, Will, congrats on your VB victory!! That is a tough game so must be quite a workout. I am soooo sorry to hear about your friend's niece. Count me in on prayers for Jess also. The hill sprints seem very cool. That is totally something my hubby and I would do cept we have no hills here. :( You sure do weigh-in alot! I try to stay off the scale even tho is tempting but the fluctuations would just drive me crazy!!! You are doing an awesome job no matter what that damn thing says!!

Thanks for the support for Jess, she is still alive, which is a miracle to me.

Thanks for the support on the hill sprints too..... :D Fygle gave me the idea, and was anxious to do some, figured this week was a good time to try, as I could have used a little more stamina last Sunday. Not saying two HIIT session's are going to help much, but its worth a try. We did them as a couple, but my strides are alot longer so didn't end up in the same place, but both got really worked out. V02 max, or so it felt.
Sandi--Thanks a bunch, I do weigh alot, right now anyway, as I'm adjusting my diet, and don't want to lose too fast. It doesn't get in my head at all, if it doesn't read what I think it should, just watching the trend of fluctuations, as we all fluctuate, and basically look at the average, and make adjustments. Last week I took out my before bed bowl of Kashi, this week I took out my breakfast bread slices w/jam. That being said......

Tues. 4-27-10

Weight--187.6 Booyaahhh :D b

NOOOOO, Will! I meant that you weigh yourself a lot. NOT that you weigh a lot!!!! Ahahaha....you are sooo sweet. You said "thanks a bunch" even tho you thought I meant that you weigh a lot. If that was me I would be like...Ummm, ok, now you may never visit my thread again!! Sorry if my wording was off. I said I was a suckin writer!

:D ...you totally had me crackin' up. You are fine (in more ways than one... ) I think I put comma's in the wrong places, but yes, I am weighing myself daily, just as I make adjustments to see what works, and not to do too much, as I would prefer to keep muscle loss to a minimum. Measured this morning, and haven't really lost anything other than my waist was down to 35.5 I wear 34 pants, but they must stretch b'cause my actual measurement in the was more than that so I'm happy about that. Your doing great also, you motivate me alot, when I'm feeling a bit slack, and read about you getting up so early to go workout. All I have to do is walk downstairs....so, no excuses.
