That sounds yummy les, will give it a try :) ..umm I don't know if you can eat as many strawberries as you want, but as a fruit choice, they would be more difficult to digest ? Though i LOVE me some strawberries too.

This was from the fat burning foods article.

Note: Caffeine and EGCG have both been shown to help you work out harder and longer!

However Caffeine can constrict bloodvessels, potentially reducing the amount of Oxygen to cells, thereby causing more Lactic Acid potential, because the Glucose and Glycoygen you break down, (when eventually in Pyruvate formj, could convert to Lactic Acid more when there is less Oxygen present.

The possibility of having less Oxygen transportation ability in your system, by virtue of Caffeine blocking Iron absorption, thereby affecting Red Blood Cell, (Erythrocyte), levels, would largely depend on daily consumption.

Having Caffeinated substances or Caffeine pills before a workout, would probably have very little to no effect on Erythrocyte levels during a workout, though this effect would vary slightly based on duration.

Personally I don't see any need for caffeinated anything before workouts. A lot of supplement comapnies add it to stuff then brag about it, (forgetting to mention any vasoconstriction potential or possible slight Erythrocyte effects), though promoting possible negatives isn't exactly great for sales.

Even good supplement comapnies that 99.99% of the time don't B.S. consumers about anything, probably skimp on disclosing anomelies or quirks relating to the tiny percentage minority of consumers, that could get such things occuring post--consumption.

Yeah I seen the stuff about caffeine but didn't really pay attention to it, because I recall you once saying it blocked absorption of something, I have my shot of espresso ( mocha ) a couple hours before my morning workout, it is my one weakness in this life :) The tea I might cut out, since decaf is horrid ..will work on that, if I keep myself busy right after I eat, then there won't be a need for tea & the weather is starting to become hot, so hot tea will suck. Can't wait to hit the gym & weights today ! Will post later.

Before I started at shapefit, I had really low iron, enough to need to take behind the counter supplements, though when I changed my diet, to really healthy eating & just taking vitamins, it reversed itself.

Todays Workout

chin ups
3 x 10
with
front squats
3 x 8 x 95

Pullups
3 x 5
with
Deadlifts
3 x 5 x 130

Bent sup Rows
3 x 8 x 25 x 2
with
Shoulder press
3 x 8 x 15 x 2

So today I met a chick who does p90x ab workouts & she said oh come join me for abs........OUCH eh, 25 reps of about 10 ab things, she gave me the list, so I can practice, for next saturday ?..Some of them I already had down, not sure if its better than good ole planks though ..maybe will try it for a few weeks. She also works out in the cage so we devised a way to work together in there.Follows the same strict discipline, that I do. I talked so much to her I didn't get home till lunch time  Not often I run into someone so much like myself, was a good morning . Have a great weekend everyone :)

Is it possible to have an intolerance to eggs ?..Doesn't matter what form I eat them in, approximately two hours after eating them I have nausea, finally have managed to accept the rational behind using the whites & tossing the yolks, while kids all over the world starve..today I used two whole eggs, plus 2 egg whites & as predicted, I don't feel well & have LOST my appetite, should I try just the whites ? Everyday this coming week is either full with gym & work or gym & school, hopefully will have time to post, have a good sunday everyone :)

I suppose it's possible, but in real terms, the main things you'd need would be Proteases to break down te protein and Lipases and Bile for the Fat as well. Obviously other things like Gastric Juices, B Vits, Stomach Acid etc etc, play their part, but the mentioned things are things people might get a deficiency of, but I can't see that being an issue otherwise you'd be intolerant to most Fats and all proteins.

The only other possibiltiy I can think of, is that for some reason you're intolerant to something like Lutein, which is in Eggs. It is also in things like Corn, Spinach and Kale, so if you ate such things, and got a similar reaction you could conclude it would likely be a Lutein intolerance, yet whilst I've never heard of any such thing, I can't say it isn't possible.

I can eat eggs mixed in with other foods, but not plain, oh well.My rest day involved heading to the mall, to buy some creatine ( need the heads up on what to do with it ) is it ok to add it to the after workout shake ? Picked up some wild salmon fish oil supplement also, they charged me incorrectly at the till so I received an extra $ 10 off for the mistake, made my day :) My fat is getting so low that the bits of it left are irritating, I did my pull ups Saturday & felt the fat at the bottom of my back through the lift, was nasty.I forgot I will be in school all day this Saturday, so might be necessary to workout 5 days straight or take 3 days off, not sure which way to go on that yet ? Anyone got any thoughts ? :) Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Hooray for mistakes

Yes you can stack Creatine with a protein shake, that's okay, as some shakes already have Creatine in them.

In you case, being a female, don't expect much from it. Men weighing several 10's of lbs heavier than you, have used it and some will have gotten poor results.

Oh, because I saw cassie has it listed as a favorite supplement, if it does not much of anything is there a point to using it ?

It will increase power output and some energy increases as it helps convert ATP into ADP, which means you can utilise some of the Phosphate energy. I'm not saying Creatine is a suck ass supplement. but it will work better for some than others, that's the basic message I'm promoting here :)

Certainly wouldn't want that..

Todays Workout

Chin ups
1 x 10/8/8
with
Step ups
3 x 8 x 75

Pull ups
1 x 6/5/5
with
Dead lifts
3 x 5 x 135

DB pullovers
3 x 8 x 30

T Bar Row
1 x 8 x 45
2 x 8 x 50

Leg raise w rev crunch
3 x 8

Planks
2 x 1 min
Side planks
2 x 30 seconds

Today I graduated to 45 lb plates !! On my dead lifts, victory is MINE,,it was almost as thrilling as my first chin up of all time, not quite though.Last week that chick I met critiqued my chin ups, saying I don't have enough range of motion, now for my pull ups & chin ups I face the mirror & If I can't see my face in that mirror, I know I'm not down far enough.I think I'll skip the p90x ab routine she gave me, my abs are muscular doing my own planks etc. They say p90x isn't crunch oriented, but seems to me a few of them involve the same motion as a crunch. The thing I read about creatine is to drink ALOT of water ? Hope everyone had a good day

Ps lost a half an inch off my legs (19.5 ) & hips, think leg fat is the hardest to shed.
