If you want to lean and tighten your best bet is interval training. Work your your up to high intensity intervals (sprint training) rather than prolonged cardio sessions. You'll burn more fat and build or keep more lean body mass. Don't forget to do resistance training for whole body at least twice a week and keep a food journal.

got to say the best cardio is the one that you look forward too. I look forward to karate, tennis, biking, hiking and XC skiing. Just try to keep me home when I can do the things I love. When the hubby wants a workout buddy with the cardio videos from p90x, I do it, dont wanna though. I am a bad girl becasue when I am unable to do my fun stuff, i sometimes skip cardio altogether.

I find Tae-Bo is the best form of cardio. After about 20 minutes of training, I'm sweating like a pig...it's quite intense. Next I'd have to say rowing, it uses a lot of muscle groups to perform the exercise so it will tone your entire body in the process. Also a point I'd like to add is that any form of cardio works, just do what you enjoy best! :)

Early morning I do weight lifting training, and then cardio (running) for 15-20 mins everday. It keeps me active for the whole day. :)

So far, good information. I am new to fittracker, however so far I find the information gathered thus far good info. To respond to your question I find that anything you enjoy doing that helps to get your heart rate up is a good exercise. I love to move my body when I do exercise so I find that ZUMBA is an excellent cardio, ab and toning routine along with TURBO JAM, HIP HOP ABS and TAE-BO and believe it or not the Biggest loser with Bob Harper as the trainer video is also excellent. I've just got to get motivated again to get up and get moving. I grant you GOD'S speed on your weight loss goals and toning.

Long walks and runs/jogs (on lots of inclines and hills) are great cardio workouts.

Try to go on a 6 mile walk over lots of hills and rough terrain. Great workout and a great sweat.

Look into Tabata interval training for cardio. Maybe once a week. And on days you aren't recovering go for a lengthy run (mileage). Just don't forget to recover the day after a long or intense run.
