I thought you had a journal somewhere - it'll be great to catch up with you - I too took a break, at least from posting - feeling on the upswing now! I'm in the middle of pruning plants and flowers..pulling some completely out and about to go pick out some new things. I was going to lay in the sun but all of a sudden I got a burst of energy! I'll stop back later. :) This darn Black Berry of mine tells me every time I have a message from 3 different e-mail accounts, etc. including Shapfit - can't resist coming in to see what's new! BUT I need to go get some things done - LOL

Cardio Today -

45 minutes on the Treadmill strong and steadym, then did 45 Windmills. Going to work out in the garden this afternoon.

I quietly need to tell you have lost 7 lbs since March 29th, quiet because these particular lbs (at least 3 or 4 of them) I've lost over and over again in the past 6 months, so 2 more lbs and I'll be on a REAL countdown. :)

you may have lost them over and over (I have done the same too) but don't discount the achievement - they are real pounds that are gone now, and you worked hard to do it so congrats to you!! You are on your way Lu, and there is no stopping you - GO LU!!!

Thank you~! Of course I'm able to continue this journey because of my friends here- it REALLY does help! We all know what we need to do, but being kinda accountable to others - especially others who are struggling right along with you - IT HELPS SOOOO MUCH~! Thank you~!

Today I was so hungry for some reason. Here's what I ate:

Bottle of Water first thing, no coffee
1) Weetabix with fresh blueberries, 1/2 cup FF Milk
Worked Out - 45 minutes on Treadmill
2) Egg Omelet 2 whole eggs, 3 egg whites with chopped green, red and orange peppers - 1/4 Melon
Water, water, and more water throughout the day......
3) 4 oz Vanilla Yogurt with fresh blueberries and 2 tbls sunflower seeds and 2 tbls chopped walnuts.
4) About an hour later I was hungry so had a Protein Bar
5) Around 4-4:30 I had a Turkey Burger with 100 cal WW thin bun. (Could wait for hubby to come home I was so hungry.
6) Leftover Home Made vegetable soup containing tomatoes, red and green peppers, diced yams, diced potatoes (not much) cabbage, onions and broccoli (prob 3/4 - 1 cup - slice of Whole Grain Bread spread with hummus.

I'm not tracking yet, but how does that look to you? I normally have the yogurt meal or oatmeal for breakfast - maybe that's the difference? I guess 3 and 4 would normally be a salad with LF Cottage Cheese and chicken or tuna....

IDOL Gives Back is on tonight and you might think it's overkill but I'm determined to watch it from the treadmill and/or spinning bike.

Have a great evening my friends!

After IDOL Edit*** I was on the treadmill for 1 hour at 3.7 mph while watching TV. Didn't push myself, but at tat pace I was hot and sweaty at the end, so it kept my HR up...... ate 3 oz of Low Fat CC (gave my dog 1 oz) and 16 almonds. Still hungry I guess...

Taking today as my day off, haven't had one in awhile. Somehow I forgot it was Sunday and didn't take the day off and it got my weight and cardio days all screwed up, so I'll be back on track tomorrow for Weights. My legs need a break anyway after 1 3/4 hours on the treadmill yesterday

I'll get a modified workout today anyway as I need to work outside in the garden AND I'm going to the campground and may have to do some raking.

Have a great day!

OMG - I can hardly move~! Never made it to the garden but raked for 2 hours - the lawn was completely covered in pine cones! Anyway, raking and then bending down and picking it all up and putting in a huge leaf bag.... Guess I need a day off! Ha! Nah, weights tomorrow...even though I can hardly move I'm feeling real good - hubby told me I'm looking good and my belly hasn't been this flat in a long time! :):)

Food Today

Breakfast - 4 oz Yogurt with fresh blueberries, 2 tbls ea. sunflower seeds and walnuts, teas Flax.
Meal 2 - Turkey Burger with 100 calorie Thin Sandwich Bun (teas mayo)
Snack - Nut mix, with dried cranberries -(couldn't wait till I got home!)
Salad, Romaine, 1 sm. tomato, 3 inches of cucumber, 4 oz Low Fat Cottage Cheese and 3 oz Tuna (packed in water of course) topped with 2 tbls salad fixins and 2 tbls Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing.
5 oz Cod Fillet - sm red potato topped with salsa, asparagus

Today - A short one - my Workout Buddy was here and he didn't have much energy so we talked....maybe I'll pick it up again later, or the gardening I do today will make up for it. :)

Warmed up with 50 Windmills
Low Hurdle Step Overs Combo F/S/B - 2 sets of 30
Single Arm Rows - 3 x 10 - 30 lb DB's
Posterior Delts - 3 x 25 - 5 lb DB's

Bosu Ball Balancing in between sets- also held 5 lb DB's and place arms out straight shoulder height, brought down to hips and back up again x 10 - very hard for me with my rotator cuff issue...I'm thinking using low weights it might add strength. I really should ask the PT.

Have a great day!

the knee/hamstring thing from awhile back, are you locking out on the way down or just when your standing up?

what are you doing for the shoulder at the moment?

Swanso!!!! Nice to see you - I hear Congratulations are in order!

Good timing for the knee question as the last couple of days my left knee in particular has been bothering me more - last night I noticed there's swelling above the knee :( Anyway, I lock my knees when I stand up, not going down.

As far as my shoulder - I went to get my second opinion nad surgery was not an option (which was what I thought anyway) because I'm not in a great deal of pain, more a weakness. I'm doing exercises as prescribed (the ones I mentioned way back) 2 - 3 times a week, taking ibprophen when it gets sore, but the doc said to keep my weights low...and I'd know if I was lifting too heavy by the pain it would create. So I guess I'm thinking I need to accept that my weights utilizing my shoulder will be limited. Do you have any thoughts on it?

Good news is that I continue to look better and am finally back to losing weight...regular workouts and food is good and clean, so as of today I've lost 8 lbs since March 29th. I've got 10 lbs more to go! Then re-evaluate :) But my knee is definitely causing me some concern... :(

not sure on the knee but it's often a case of not enough hip mobility and glute activation...ankle mobility can also be an issue

i forgotten what the shoulder diagnosis was but i'd still work on thoracic extension and rotation as well as scapula positioning (lower traps, serratus) and middle back muscles
