creatin

Postby Ebbycalvin » Sun Aug 01, 2010 8:38 am

I began working out in April. My goal was to lose weight and become more fit. I have dropped from 230lbs to right around 193. My goal wgt was 185 but I feel pretty good at this wgt. I do a program designed to help my golf game and it has. I have dropped the weight, have more energy, feel great, and am stronger. I really like the way my body is looking and feeling. My question is.....i would really like a little more definition in my arms and chest. I have read that creatin can help with this definition development but I am concerned about putting on some of the weight I have lost. My waist has dropped from a 38 to a 32. Also.....if I do use the creatin would I benefit if I just took it on my lift days? any thoughts ideas are aprreciated....thank you

Creatine won't really help with definition, as it causes water retention in most cases.

No I'm saying don't take it, becasue it causes water retention, which won't help with definition.

As you appear to have been getting the results you want, I'd persevere with what you're doing for now, as it seems to be working.

If however you get about 4-5 weeks of consistant plateauing, then consider minor changes to diet, first before doing anything with training.

Most times when people plateau, it's not training that's to fault unless the training the person is doing is partially or completely poor. If a training regime is good, then a plateau in most cases results from dietry things.

Thanks....I meant not take it....i change my reps-sets on a four week rotation to help avoid a plateau. Although my arms and chest have gotten bigger and my lift wgts have increased....I was just hoping to get a more defined look. Maybe it will continue as I drop a little more weight and increase my lean muscle. Thank you for your help....it is greatly appreciated
