Waist Trimmers

Postby meaok77 » Sat Aug 07, 2010 12:55 pm

I'm talking about the ones that make you sweat...

I have one, but I don't really use it. I used to. But I haven't been so much lately.
I've heard both pros and cons and was wondering what everyone's take is on it.

Here is a picture of one so there is no confusion.

I'm not fully au fai with what that is, is it something you wear, to make you look like you've got an inch or two less, around the torso and waist?

No, it's designed to make your mid-section sweat (supposedly to help lose weight) when you walk, run, exercise. This is the item description:

Item Description

•Adjustable size
•Soft, rubber foam material
•Secure closure
•Fits up to a 50 inch waist

Personally I'd forget it.

You don't need to sweat more than you naturally would, as you'll just lose more moisture and Salts, increasing dehydration risk and possible Electrolyte problems.

It's just a gimmick product and you'd be better off avoiding it. Nobody needed one of those before to lose weight, so why should you?

Hopefully that clarifies things for you :).

Thanks. I already had one from before, but I don't use it. Was thinking of using it again, but started thinking "does it REALLY work better than if I didn't use it?". So I'll probably Goodwill it or just throw it away. Thanks Boss Man! :D

I'd throw it away :). Even if you went to a jumble sale or a Car Boot sale and donated it, some one would be buying a dirt cheap piece of rubbish, that wasn't even worth the dirt cheap price :o.
