I am going to have to at some point start dedicating some serious time to ab and back work. I see that much of the recomended core work for runners involves many flavors of planks. And, I hate them.

I do side planks twice and then I mix between regular and diagonal. Are there any other variations I could do? Go for it Edgar!

Those look great! I gotta try those! Especially the last two with the leg raises. I can feel my sore abs already.

First one is good, second position is putting a huge amount of stress on the shoulder, so it appears.

Weights day:

Chinups: 8+6+5+5 (10 kg backpack)
+Military press: 4x7 (41,75kg)

Squats: 5x5 (67kg)

Dips: 12+10+9 (21kg backpack)
+Bent row: 3x9 (51kg)

Standing triceps extensions: 3x9 (29,5kg)

Active day! After my weights I was invited to a mountain hike, 800 meters (2600 feet) summit. Did I ever feel it in my legs after squats :D

Breathtaking! Absolutely beautiful. I can't imagine living somewhere where I could see this kind of view, be able to walk, touch and feel the air, the rocks, the terrain - awesome is too small a word! 8)

Thanks, it's about 30 miles from my city. We have a lot of mountains in the area, much to choose from.
