Wednesday (9/29): Nice weather, No tornado! Yippee! Had time to run 2 miles (double Yippee!) & walked 1 mile during lunch time. Not much homework today, so I did: 3 sets of 20: pushups, squats, military press, forward lunges, shoulder press, bicycles, hamstring curls & mountain climber. Followed by 20 sec. jog & 30 sec. walk (x6). My bat wings are getting a little more tight :D. Funny/akward thing happened in class yesterday. This guy (20yrs old) asked me out on a "date" . I nicely turned him down & told him I'm happily married & NOT a cougar. Cougar??? Had to explained. Didn't know what I meant . Too young... . Anyways, tomorrow I will be doing kick boxing & Hip hop abs level 1...just for fun :D. My meals:
workout: ran 2 miles & drank 1 bottle of water
breakfast: 2 eggwhites scrambled w/ mushrooms, ham, 1 slice 2% cheese, tomatoes & 1 slice of whole wheat toast & 1/2 d. pespi w/ lemon & 1 bottle of water
snack: apple
lunch: 2 slices of whole wheat w/ tuna, spinach, tomatoes & onions & 1 bottle of water
workout: walked 1 mile
snack: cottage cheese w/ pineapples & 1 bottle of water
dinner: 4 oz grilled steak w/ 1/2 cup brown rice, side salad & small slice of avocado & 1 bottle of water
workout: upper, lower & abs (little cardio) & 1 bottle of water
snack (not yet): cookies & cream protein shake w/ 1/2 skim milk & 1/2 coffee (yumm!) It tastes like hot chocolate.
Had a great day :D. Looking forward to tomorrow...

TGI FRIDAY! (10/1)
Hi Les! I'm studying bookeeping. Had my first big test today & score a 97 :( . I was pretty sure I was going to get 100 but didn't. Had the right answer & changed it. Learned my lesson...NEVER second guess. Anyways, today I did full body workout. Did 3 sets of 15 with 5lbs in each hand: squats, forward lunges, calf raise, military press, chest flys, bicep curls, triceps & 15 pushups & 15 dips . I'm trying hard. I also did Hiit jumping immediately after. In the morning I did HIIT running for 20 minutes & went for a 2 mile walk with intervals. Got VERY wet cause it was raining & my rain coat SUCKED big time . I liked it! I'm like a big kid. Love the rain. My meals:
workout: walked 2 miles & drank 1 bottle of water
breakfast: cream of wheat with skim milk, w/ 1 scoop protein & few strawberries
snack: pineapple & cottage cheese & 1 bottle of water
lunch: 1 cup of whole wheat pasta w/ grilled chicken, broccoli, home made sauce & 1 cup of spinach & 1 bottle of water
snack: 1/2 cup grapes w/ 2% cheddar cheese & 1 bottle of water
Dinner: 1 cup brown rice, 4oz steak & asparagus & side salad & 1 bottle of water
workout: full body workout w/ Hiit jumping
snack: protein shake w/ skim milk & 1/2 banana (YUMMY)
Tomorrow: Cardio. If it doesn't rain, my oldest son & I will have our own little 3k run. I'm very excited! I hope to finish without huffing & puffing. At night...soccer. Hubby is playing. I'll be "warming up" with him .

What was the maximum mark, assuming it wasn't 100?

She didn't state that as a percentage though, just an undefined number, so it could have been based on marks or points. I've taken tests before that are scored out of 150 marks or points, but maybe America doesn't use such formats for testing :?.

Fair comment :).

In which case she shouldn't be that gutted about getting 97 instead of 100. Still something to be extremely proud of.

Sunday (10/3):
Hi guys! Boss... Got 97 out of 100. I know, it's still good...but not perfect :( . Will get that 100 next time :D. amatlack...You're right. I was sooo close. I studied very hard. Went to sleep at 3am :( . Oh well, Next time! :D Les... Me too. I guess my nerves got the best of me. Won't happen again :D. Ok, change of conversation. Saturday, did the 3k run with my son. A friend of mine asked us to participate on a "walkathon" on saturday night in her mother's memory (she died of lung cancerlast year). Since my hubby's game was at night, I wasn't able to make it. We made a donation an told her we will dedicate our little 3k to her mom by wearing red (her mom's favorite color). She loved the idea! It wasn't just a run anymore. It meant more than that! So, we did. OMG! It was hard. After my full body workout on Friday, my whole entire body ached & I was exhausted (didn't go to sleep until 2am). But, I put my "running cap" on  we ran...slowly, but surely . My yungest son & hubby followed us in the car   . When we finished, we felt very excited & proud. Not only did we finished, but it was very meaningful. Today, it was supposed to be cleaning day, but my youngest son had a soccer match too. It was great! Had lots of fun. Got home, washed clothes & did loewr & abs. I did: 3 sets of 12: forward & backward lunges, plie squats, leg press (with bands), abductors & adductors (bands) & calf raises. For abs: 3 sets of 20: mountain climbers, bicycles, hip thrust, scissors, crunches, figure 8 & burpees & 3 (25 sec) planks. My meals were a little off cause I was at the park from 8am -12pm (no healthy food around) :( . Thank God I had a small pack of mixed nuts, 1 apple & 1 cup of coffee w/ skim milk & 1 sweet & low. We also had plenty of water. My meals were like this:
Breakfast: coffee w/ skim milk & 1 butter roll
snack: mixed nuts, 1/2 apple (shared the other half w/ hubby) & 1 bottle of water
Lunch: Coffee w/ reg milk (it was COLD) & 1/2 bagel with cream cheese (a parent bought)
late snack: cheddar cheese w/ grapes & 1 bottle of water (i was home :D )
Dinner: Mashed potatoes w/ 4 oz grilled steak w/ broccoli, red peppers & spinach & 1 bottle of water
workout: lower & abs
after workout: protein shake w/ skim & 1/2 banana
Tomorrow: upper body & zumba (feel like dancing). Need to relieve some stress. Perfect excuse! Right? By the way, was invited to a Halloween party. Any costume suggestions???

Cold Monday (10/4): It's has been raining all day. Like the weather but can't run or walk. It's starting to look & feel like winter :(. This morning, I did upper body workout & 20 min. Hiit jumping. Didn't walk in the afternoon, but as soon as I got home (while cooking ), I did a little zumba. I say a little because I kept going back & forth (fromm kitchen to living room) to do the moves. Some I made up . It was a fun & really good workout. Later on, I promised to play a little Wii with the kids...you know what that means (competitions)  . Tomorrow: cardio. Don't know what I will do. Thinking about a new cardio video I got. Will see. My meals:
workout: upper body & hiit jumping
Breakfast: 2eggwhites scrambled w/ mushrooms, 1 ham, 1/2 cheese & 2 whole wheat toast & 1 cup coffee w/ skim milk & 1 sweet & low & bottle of water
snack: cottage cheese w/ pineapple & 1 bottle of water
Lunch: tuna fish sandwich w/ 2 whole wheat toast, l. mayo, tomatoes, onion & little garlic & 1/2 apple & 1 bottle of water w/ lemon

Dinner: 1/2 cup brown rice w/ stir fry w/ spinach, asparagus, broccoli, red peppers, onions & shrimp (YUMM!) & side salad & 1 bottle of water

So you like zumba mami? that's a really popular class at my health club. It was so popular they had to move it to the gym too many people showed up. I"m not exactly sure what it is. I guess i could google it.

Winter is definitely coming. Outside the other night and i could see my breath in the air!

Tuesday (10/5): Still cold & rainy...UGH! musculargirl...it's very popular. I like it. It's fun. Few girls in my class have the DVD too. I have merengue. It's very easy to follow. I did the zumba reggaeton today & my hubby LOVED it . I traded it in class. Isn't it funny? Kids trade baseball cards, stickers & frendship bracelets. We do workout DVD's  . I guess time has changed... Today, I did 20 min. Hiit running. All I could do indoors & with the little time I had. In the afternoon, I went up & down the stairs at school  . The security guard stopped me and asked me If I was ok. I guess he tought I was going bananas . I said (in a very low voice): I'm exercising. He laughed so hard he almost choke on the 1 foot long sandwich . Then he said: You don't need to workout. What size are you? a 1? NO! Then, I felt sad. Do I really look that skinny? I want to look toned, fit...thin. But not boney. I love my curves. In fact, I want more . Anyways, I asked my hubby & he said I don't look that skinny. :D. I weigh myself & I'm still 125lbs. I had lost about 3? but gained it back. Remember? when I started the meal timing & the strict plan?. I gained it back, but I'm feeling good & relaxed. Will see how it goes. My arms & butt (glutes) are looking tighter :D :D. Loving it! Still need more work. I'm getting there...wherever that might be . Slowly but surely. Not driving anybody (including myself) crazy . In the evening, while watching the biggest looser, I did 20 min. hiit jumping, 30 minutes run (in place/indoor) & 20 min. walk. I also tried some the "workouts" they did on tv (not exactly, but similar). My snacks were the same. My breakfast was cream of wheat w/ egg whites & my dinner was baked ziti (whole wheat past & low fat ingredients ) w/ salad. Tomorrow: day off. I have a Dr.'s appt., food swap & Kids soccer game. Food swap is something my family & I do every month. We all cook/bake a special dish & we swap. Tomorrow is bake goods. My recipe: Peanut butter chocolate chip cookies (everything low fat & brown sugar). I'm not a cookie person, I'm more of a chocolate ice cream kinda gal . By the way, whatever I get, I'll be sharing with a few people & what I eat, I'll make sure I burn those calories right aways

Wednesday: Boss.. I guess compared to his size & looked anorexic. He weighs around 300lbs. Today we had a small conversation & he's interested in loosing weight. I suggested he visit his Doctor for a checkup & also refer him to shapefit. I also told him to start a food/workout journal & to start walking for 30 minutes. He told me he had a Dr. appt. tomorrow & he was going to try. I think it's a good start. Today was my day off...NOT! Have been running around like crazy. First Dr.'s appointment, then school, cook, swap & soccer game. I think I burned some calories . At the swap, I got cheese cake. Not my choice, but by force. My hubby & kids made me . Like I said, not a cake nor cookie person. They enjoyed it. Me, I was just worried about my son's game. Thank God we made it on time. We had a lot of fun. I almost froze to death, but it was worth it. We won! Ok, for tomorrow, I'll be doind a full body workout in the morning w/ 10lbs weights & in the evening: boxing. My oldest son bought boxing gloves! I'm so excited. He's been practicing with a friend & he's willing to teach me & my youngest son. Can't wait! :D

Tuesday (10/12): Crazy weather out here! We had a big thunderstorm w/ hail that looked more like a tornado. It flooded the streets in some areas in matters of minutes. That worries me. It has me questioning over & over agin...Are we prepared for a major disaster (earthquake, tsunami, huricane, etc.) ? I don't think so. Thank God I have an "emergency kit" ready. Not much, but the necessary (candles, flashlights, batteries, small radio, toilt paper, garbage bags, duct tapes, plastic wraps/containers, canned food, plastic spoons, plates, cups, etc.). My parents always had it. Hurricanes were always around. Anyways, thank God is over & today is cloudy, but beautiful day :D. Today is cardio day. I ran this morning (2 1/2 miles) & hiit jumping for 10 minutes. Now, after my lunch, I will walk with my firend for 1 mile....with heels!. No choice. They're not that high. Mine are 3" boots (heels are square, so more support :D). Feel bad for friend, she has 5". She's used to them... This evening, riding my son's bike. Les... Tried the boxing...AWESOME! Need more work on my upper cuts . Like the bob & weave, jabs & hooks. We had lots of fun. At first, they started making fun of me, but then they took me serious. Did it for 20 minutes. What a workout! Not the same when doing it with a video than with gloves & people trying to knock your teeth off  . Lots of movements & punches. My arms were sore the next day. Loved it! Will do it again on Friday. My kids' friends are coming over . My meals so far:
Workout: Run for 2 1/2 miles & 10 min. Hiit jumping (1 bottle of water)
Breakfast: protein shake w/ 1 banana (had it with skim milk)
snack: cottage cheese w/ pineapple & bottle H2O
Lunch: Tuna sandwich on whole wheat w/ lettuce, spinach, tomatoes & onions w/ homemade lemonade & 1 small apple
snack: grapes & low fat cheddar cheese (didn't have yet, but have it in my bag) :D

Don't know what I'm cooking for dinner. Maybe steak & mashed potatoes. In the mood for "cloudy day" type of food  . Soul food? Yummy for my tummy kinds meal? Something delicious...
:D
