Concerns About FitTracker PRO

Postby admin » Thu Feb 24, 2011 8:18 pm

Hi Everyone,

We have recently received several email inquires regarding our newly released FitTracker PRO upgraded version. Some members have asked why we have limited certain features within our free version and I wanted to let everyone know exactly why we made these changes to FitTracker.

We have invested a lot of resources over the last several months to develop new features and tools in our upgraded version of FitTracker PRO. Some of these features include an extensive database of new kettlebell exercises and our interactive physique tracking software called "BodyTracker". FitTracker PRO is available to all of our current members as an upgrade to their free accounts for a reasonable monthly or yearly fee. These membership fees help us cover our expensive server and programming costs and allow us to invest in new projects in order bring exciting fitness content to our visitors to help them get into the best shape of their lives.

Even though our upgraded version is fee based, we still offer our core FitTracker program for free to all of our visitors to enjoy. The majority of our content within FitTracker is still 100% free to use by all of our members (diet tracking, exercise tracking, etc). We have made our exclusive content (meal plans, workout routines, etc) available in our upgraded version since which we have invested considerable resources to fully develop these areas.

We appreciate all of our members and really hope you will help support the site by upgrading your account to FitTracker PRO in order for us to continue providing new and exciting fitness content, tools and features to everyone.

Thanks,

Kris

I haven't been here as often as I once was so may have missed some announcements, but where can I find out the details of what FitTracker Pro offers. What has changed in the "free" version , what is no longer available?

Pro basically offers you more. I don't think there is anything that is no longer free, they have just expanded it with mela plans and more exercises and other bits and pieces.

If you go onto the main Shapefit site, you should be able to find more information.

Hi Everyone,

We have received several inquiries regarding creating custom foods and we have decided to re-enable this feature in the free version of FitTracker for all of our members to use and enjoy.

Thanks,

I haven't been around in a while to check out what's free and what's available through Pro, but I got the chance today. It really kinda sucks that some stuff I liked to access (like the journals) is now only available if I pay a monthly fee. One reason I liked this site was because it was free and accessible to everyone. Unfortunately, I do not have the funds right now to upgrade to Pro. But I feel I got the practice through fittracker's journal entries to write my own journals in Notepad and can save them in my folder, so not a total loss for me, but I miss having the journal option on the site because with the journal I knew where it was and wasn't going to accidently get deleted when I clean my folders on my desktop.

Hi Andrea,

Thanks for your feedback. If you enjoy our diet and exercise journals, we have the free ones available for you to download below. You can use these if you do not want to upgrade to the PRO version at this time:

tmillan - Yes, one of your biggest meals should be after your workout (post-workout nutrition). For optimal results, try to drink a liquid meal to maximize quick absorption rates to get the nutrients to your recovering muscles. Here is an article for you:

I noticed all my individual exercises are gone and I can't put in times or see individual exercises on new ones. I have data back to 2008! Has this been moved to your pro version? If I pay the ransom for a month can I use this feature again and will all the old stuff still be there? If I suddenly have to pay I will certainly shop around first. A little notice would have been nice!

Hi Surge98b,

No, we did not hijack your content for ransom :)

This looks to be a technical issue and our programmers are currently looking into it. I will let you know once everything is resolved.

Thanks,

Kris
