Tasti D.lite?

Postby skully » Mon Mar 14, 2011 2:49 pm

So I have come across this ice cream shop, sort of, that has few calories, fat...etc.

It's main branch is from NY - can someone tell me what's their take on them?

Healthy? Better option than Baskin Robins...? Not too bad....etc? I restric myself to the 4oz cup with toppings like granola & lil bit of chocolate sprinkles ( hardly 10 pieces =P).

I know that, but there is a huge difference in the nutrition fact vs the average ice cream. The ones listed & I have seen the nutri facts in the shop here. They seem reasonable to me up to an extent & are only 80calories? Isn't it better than consuming a 300-calorie ice cream with 15g of fat as opposed 1.5g of fat?

I know it't not "healthy", but isn't it better?

I haven't seen that ice cream the one you listed, I did once have organic Ice cream I think - it tasted ok. What diff does it make if the ice cream was made w/o dairy?

Agh. Ice cream is like my soft spot, how do I ever give them up? Funny though, I only craved ice cream once I started working out. Before than I could go on for months w/o ice cream! I'm weird, damn.

If you're talking about the Tasi products, I counted about 230, unless you were exaggerating.

Lol. I am very picky with what I eat, so I wont try all flavors, I stick to typical things. vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream....that's it! And i would one scoop (per week)....common it wont spike my sugar that much! would it?

Yes, it could still do that, but one scoop a week wouldn't be a terribly heinous thing.

Too many high bloodsugar spikes can alter the acidity of blood I believe, but they can lead to Type II Diabetes, so avoiding them on a regular basis is best.
