@Nokie: Yep, daylight all day :) It can be hard to sleep indeed, messes with your head. It's pretty cool though, parties last a long time :D Imagine a beach party with the sun shining at 2-3am :D

That seems like something neat to experence.

Hey aren't you going to the Grand Canyon this spring sometime? I thought you mentioned it a while back but i don't remember when. Are you going to camp for a while down there? That sounds like a fun time too.

Yeah, we'll probably just make a short stop out of it. The plan was to drive from NY to LA in May, but we've most likely tweaked the route to Miami to LA instead. It's a little shorter, and we've heard driving from NY to to Washington is a nightmare and really boring. Miami, really looking forward to experiencing it!

I think Miami to LA is probably the better route. I've never been to New York but The northern states really are a little more boring i think to travel through. The southwest and south is a little more fun to drive thorugh. That is if you call road tripping fun. Some people do and some people don't.

My brother worked at the hotel at the bottom of the grand canyon a long time ago for a year, he really enjoyed it. I've hiked down once in the canyon I would love to go back. Its kind of like mountains where you are, you can have snow at the top and once you hike down to the bottom its warm.

Sounds like a fun time!

The downside however, is that when you have days of non-stop daylight, you also get some days of non-stop darkness.

Frankly I'm glad I live in a country, where you get some of both every day :).

Your workout log is turning into my daily "math log" where I have to convert everything from kilos into pounds in order for my tiny North American mind to comprehend it!
If your weights go any higher I will have to start using a calculator every time...

Exactly, 2.2lbs in a kilo, so not a hard calculation to make.

Also check out Onlineconversion. I stickied it in a useful links thread. It will work that stuff out for you in a jiffy.

Weights day:

Flat bench: 3x10 (65kg)

Deads: 3x10 (100kg)

Upright rows: 3x10 (40kg)
+S.L. calve raise on edge: 3x10 (17,5kg backpack)

Front lunges single leg raise: 3x10 (35kg)

Standing triceps extensions: 3x10 (36kg)

Front raises: 3x10 (22,5kg)

Finally have new weight discs so I can move up in deadlifts! 3x10 100kg this session, feel like I can do quite a bit more. Lunges + tri extensions in superset killed me, had to seperate them after first set. Been a while since I did lunges, really feeling it today.

This is the route we will be taking if everything works out for everyone. We will be landing in Miami early May, take a trip out to Key West, and from there it's:
Valdosta, GA
Pensacola, FL
New Orleans, LA
Tyler, TX
Amarillo, TX (Big Texan Steakhouse!)
Tucumcari, NM
Shiprock, NM
Monument Valley, UT
Kayenta, AZ
Flagstaff, AZ
Grand Canyon Village, AZ
Bullhead City, AZ
Las Vegas, NV
Los Angeles, CA
San Francisco, CA
Los Angeles, CA

This is the straight driving route, but we will be taking detours, like the Four Corner Monument, floating rocks on Mojave etc. Roughly 4400 miles. Yes, I'm excited :D Taking tips on things to do/see!
