Lynne nailed a very important factor. You don't see what is going on inside. Some people can when losing weight, get a scale fixation, whereby they become oblivious to the potential changes in things like Cardiovascular and skeletal condition, because it isn't visable. Also exercise can cut the risk of strokes, Cancer, heart attacks and brain disorders, but that is extremely difficult to ascertain anyway, because logically how can you prove you've got a reduced stroke risk for example, short of getting things like blood pressure and Cholesterol tests?
Also have you considered that maybe you lost a bit of weight, but put some muscle on? If you did the weights and you increased them, or even just stimulated hypertrophy, you would then be losing more fat than around the 0.8lbs reported, but you'd be adding a little back through muscle.
I know it must be frustrating sometimes and I can totally empathise with you.
I'm sending you a BIG HUG
, because I am completely behind you and I am pushing for you and I know how much you want to succeed at this.
You are an absolute sweetheart Jocelyn and I can testify that when you feel at a low ebb like this, it resonates in your words and I feel it and sense it a little bit too, so you're certainly in understanding and empathetic company, because you like others, DO have a way of expressing hurt or upset in a beautiful way, so it does resonate and it does touch others like me.
I know you don't mean to come across as in any way negative to us, or dispresectful, so you don't need to apologise for anything ever and I'm politely declining, because I don't want to be rude by accepting unnecessary apologies from a Lady
If you need to, drop me a discreet message and I'll be back in touch when I can
In the mean time do what you feel is best and don't worry if it's not necessarily what some suggested. I'm not here to force my advice or suggestions down peoples throats, I'm just here to explain things and offer the suggestions; you must do whatever you feel is best.
I'm also sorry you felt upset and started to cry, but the fact you've been persevering as you say for 1.5 years and maybe more, before coming here, is something to be truly proud of and I'm VETY, VERY PROUD OF YOU for never giving up on yourself and for believing you had more human value and worth, to want to persue it longer than 6-8 novice weeks.
Considering the point I made at the top of my message, I confident you're achieving a lot more than you're giving yourself credit for and I want you to be proud of the internal achievements too, not just the cosmetic external ones, because they represent the effort you've made for so long now, effort that comes from continued self belief and treating your body and life like the precious things they are.
So if you cry, they deserve to be happy, proud tears sweetheart, not sad I'm a screw up tears, because you're NOT screwing up, you're doing GREAT, truly, truly GREAT and I WILL stick up for and defend your right to be proud of yourself, because you've earned that right, even if maybe you don't feel that or see that about yourself.
So keep pushing and keep believing. Weight loss can sometimes appear a little meagre, but if there's muscle growth and conenctive tissue strengthening and bone strengthening / thickening, then there's good reason(s), to not be down about seemingly meagre weight loss totals per week.
Maybe that is what you're experiencing, but whatever happens, keep believing in yourself like we all do for you too. You don't need to explain why you comment on what we say, because we know you well enough to know, you're far too beautiful inside to be offhand, dismissive, negative or anything like that to us, because you're not the type okay
So chin up, best wishes, keep believing and no worries yeah
THANK YOU for being you
You are ACE!!!!!
