I went to the gym tonight and all I can say is I am sooooooo glad I joined
I did 40 minutes on the treadmill (5 minute warm-up, 30 minutes of intervals - two minutes jogging, two minutes walking, 5 minute cool-down). I always forget how much I love running until I actually run
I had to take it easy a bit because I am still nursing a fractured toe/foot, but I kind of just pushed through the pain. I know, stupid, but it felt so good to be running again I couldn't help myself!
A couple of nights ago I did the elliptical and I don't enjoy it anywhere near as much as the treadmill. I always hear everybody call it the dreadmill, but I like it
I like knowing exactly how fast I am going and exactly how far I have gone and so on. I also love that all of the cardio machines in my gym have built in fans - it gives me the outdoor running feel
I love running outside as well, but I hate humidity, so I will take the treadmill any day over Wisconsin humidity! (by the way, I have discovered South Dakota has no humidity - I want to move there...).
