Today's workout:

3.5 mile easy run. Kept a good pace, ran with a friend. Had some good hills in it.
Got some new running shoes: Asics Phoenix 2
Image
They are actually a men's shoe, but I could not find any women's shoes that I liked, or felt as good as these. Love 'em!!

The R.I.P.P.E.D. class has def. helped amp up the calorie burn, plus the longer runs on the weekend and the speedwork and hill sprints during the week. But the most important change has come in my diet.
While not perfect, and not totally clean, I have for the most part cut out most dairy products (except for greek yogurt), all pasta products, bread, butter, cheese, etc. And am trying to eat a balance in each meal of protein and healthy carb. Like i said, it is not 100%, but it is about 75% better than i was doing!

Breakfast: chocolate protein shake, 2 slices bacon
Lunch: steamed sweet potato (with 2 tbsp. LF greek yogurt), grilled chicken breast strips, 1/2 avocado, picante sauce
Snack: LF greek yogurt (about 1/4 cup) w/ mango fruit
Dinner: Chicken breast patty (oven roasted with chopped green pepper & onion, garlic seasoning) - like a hamburger patty, except with ground chicken breast, topped with diced avocado & pica de gallo, fresh chopped spinach leaves. Side salad w/romaine, tomatos, & homemade vinaigrette
Snack if hungry: celery sticks with 1 tbsp. all nat. PB

Todays workout:
3.5 mile HIIT hill street run alternating between .5 mile fast, .5 mile slow
planks, dips, pushups, bicycle crunches
