Thanks guys!! Y'all are too sweet! :D Well, I found out that I did not place in my age group...came in 5th. But in a few months I will be in a new age group...50 - 59 hehehe, and I will be the young one again. have a better chance at winning medals..in fact at this race there wasn't even anyone entered in the womens 50 - 59 age group - I could've had 1st place all to myself!

Hoping that as I head into the second half of my marathon training that I will start to see more weight loss. It seems most of the weight I'm losing lately is in places I would rather it stay....if ya know what I mean! Hope to be out of the 150's by mid March (fingers crossed).

Don't forget, that you might be gaining some muscle now, so factor that in, because if you're getting less weight loss than you hoped, that might be why.

thanks Boss. I decided to take a photo of my mid section, i usually keep covered up, but wanted to just put it out there to show what I deal with and plus I was feeling skinny this morning and so braver than usual. I am okay on the upper abs, but lower abs are still covered by my "pooch". :x
good news, those jeans are size 12 and falling off...
and no, I am not smelling my armpit in pic 2.

You probably weren't smelling your Armpit, but I'm guessing it may have happened anyway, by let's say "happy coincidence"??

Funny Bossman. :D At least I had deodorant on.

Thanks Becky. I can remember when those jeans were too tight, so it encourages me to keep on pushing forward, it is painstakingly slow process - but it is what it is...and I just have to stay ever vigilant, ever mindful of what I'm eating, how much I'm exercising and try to make the best choices I can. :D

Sunday's workout: Ran a Distance PR of 14 miles today! I've never ran that far before. Last few miles were really hard, legs were so tired, but kept pushing on. Ran with some friends of mine who have both ran 30 miles races - so this was a a breeze for them - but I had to really reach down deep and pull out my extra reserve can of willpower and energy. Can't imagine running another 12 miles  to complete a marathon.....really gotta think about this upcoming race. I like to enjoy running, not sure marathoning is my cup of tea....

I think you may just need to keep building yourself up and get use to the more mileage?? Maybe too you were running with your friends did they push you and your pace or were you running at your own pace?? If they pushed you to run faster maybe that was why you were so tired if you were running at a faster pace than you normally would have run. either that or you just need to keep building up your endurance.

So nice that you have people to train with!!!

It's been so long that i've ran that far i wish i had more advice. :D
