ShapeFit Launches FitTracker - Free Social Networking
& Fitness Tracking Program
Health conscious individuals meet and interact using a
free online fitness tracking program with hundreds of healthy meal plans and workout
routines to help them lose weight and get fit.
St.
Petersburg, Florida, October 29, 2007 - ShapeFit, LLC launches a free online fitness
tracking and social networking program to help its visitors get into shape. FitTracker
provides a database of over 10,000 food items allowing members to keep track of
daily calories and create custom workouts using a database of over 400 animated
exercises. Users create free profiles and interact with other members to share
fitness tips on everything from weight loss to bodybuilding.
Kris Bierek, President of ShapeFit, LLC said, "Its
amazing to see a global community of people who are interested in building their
bodies and improving their health. With an astounding 75% of diets failing, it
comes down to a management issue. What gets measured, gets managed", Bierek
says. FitTracker provides an easy
management tool for tracking nutrition and exercise habits and provides tips to
help members succeed.
On average, 90%
of people who join health and fitness clubs will stop going regularly within the
first 90 days. This is mainly due to the lack of information to incorporate different
exercises into functional workout routines. Bierek said, "Success with any
fitness plan involves variety and enjoyment". By using pre-designed FitTracker
workouts, members stay motivated by trying out new and exciting routines.
Registered dietitians and certified trainers designed hundreds
of weight loss meal plans and muscle building workout routines. Members receive
a personal calorie assessment and access weekly meal plans based on their fitness
goals. Weekly workout routines with photo illustrations are available for beginners
to advanced levels. Members track weekly weight loss goals and monitor changes
in body composition.
By tracking eating
and exercise habits, members can assess their current fitness plan and make adjustments
to stay on track. Graphs and other charts help members see if they are gaining
or losing. A daily journal allows members to keep personal notes on how their
progress is going. Members can also visually track their progress with a photo
tracker. "The scale may say one thing, but a picture doesn't lie", Bierek
says.
FitTracker
includes sports training workouts and videos to increase athletic performance.
"Athletes are always striving to get bigger, faster and stronger. FitTracker
not only provides me with the information I need to achieve my fitness goals,
but it is also a great tool that enables me to interact socially with other fitness
minded people from around the world", said Kurt Bierek, former professional
baseball player (NY Yankees) and Vice President of ShapeFit, LLC.
