Multi Vitamins - Important Nutrients
To Live Healthy
We all begin with multi vitamins before we are born! Moms to-be normally
take pre natal vitamins as it has been proven to help against certain birth defects
such as spina bifida. We then go along with more vitamins as children which at
one time were full of sugars. Luckily there are now excellent variations making
them sugar free and healthier than 30 years ago, still tasty and chewable but
no sugars. Do watch out for those which do still use sugars or do not list that
information as that usually indicates it does have sugar. As growing adults
we take vitamins for our deficiencies which vary between sexes and ages. Some
of these common needs are Vitamins C and D and minerals such as iron, zinc, magnesium,
potassium and calcium. Diet plays a huge roll in how balanced your nutrients
are especially ensuring produce intake with wide varieties in the colors eaten.
Studies prove over and over again the many benefits of the reds, oranges, purples
and dark greens fruits and vegetables. They are still discovering them any hundreds
of phytochemicals they have which are related to cancer fighting and prevention. Although
I personally believe in balanced diet I also do agree that most of the foods we
eat are denatured, poor in their nutrients strength and value due to earth and
environment damage. Never mind all the damage caused in production and distribution
of these items. For example, Apples are not made to look nice and shiny by added
waxes to the peel, refrigeration and such but sometimes you open one and inside
you find some brown spots deep in the apple, evidence of the preservation processes.
Originally you would want to eat some of your fruit and veggie peels sine they
also contain many nutrients and some of those nutrients are only found in the
peels but that is not the wisest idea especially with non organics. To help
pickup the vitamin and minerals in your diet you can take a mutli vitamin/mineral.
There are many choices from liquid to solid chelated tablets but how well absorbed
are they and in what doses? Do you really want to dissect each one and its
required amounts acquiring the info from what you understand taken from a sea
of data? Even when looking at studies of certain brands, you will have a
tough time understanding the information and chances are, it is paid for by the
company. The easiest thing is to choose as best you can, maybe try a few
brands and see which 'feel' best. Some of the top choices such as 'One
a Day', 'Centrum', 'GNC' and Usana are among the most popular in general. There
are others such as Animal Pak which is popular in the bodybuilding circle. Studies
have shown Usana is one of the best absorbed vitamin and least wasted making the
amounts labeled count for their number. Some other brands which are not as well
absorbed end up in your urine as they are not giving the full benefit of the total
grams or amount shown to be in each tablet.
