Muscle Building Questions - Bulking Up Without Getting Fat

fitness-advice Question:
I really want to start working out and put on some muscle mass. But I am afraid I am going to gain to much fat weight If I just work out with weights. Because all I will do is just keep eating protein and just keep eating it with out burning it. Well burning enough I should say. So I think its better to mix it with cardio. I can run 2-3 miles no problem. Can you tell me a workout mix I can do with this. Like one day cardio one day weight, I don't know you tell me. Oh and I want to start drinking The protein drinks, because I feel I won't get enough to eat with regular meals. Do I drink before and after weight workouts. Do I also drink it in cardio days?

First off, drink your protein drinks before and after your weight workouts. On cardio days, only drink them post workout.

In terms of a detailed workout plan, I would recommend following these core exercises and make sure to have at least 48 hours rest between workouts:
