Perricone Prescription Diet

Overview:
The Perricone Prescription was created by Dr. Nicholas Perricone M.D. The diet is a seven-step, 28-day program designed to prevent and reverse wrinkles with a special anti-inflammatory diet, moderate exercise, topical creams and nutritional supplements.

Dermatologist Nicholas Perricone, M.D., devised the program based on the assumption that sugar and foods with a high glycemic index such as bread, bagels, bananas, pizza, pasta and potatoes lead to the inflammation that is at the root of wrinkles and aging skin.

Disadvantages:
In an ideal world this diet would work and does work on a select few who have the ability to follow it to the letter. If on the other hand you need to lose a lot of weight you are better off taking Personalized Prescription Weight Loss Pills

He contends that by eliminating these foods and choosing sufficient amounts of protein and foods that produce an anti-inflammatory response such as avocado, berries, dark green leafy vegetables and salmon, skin will look younger and healthier. He provides two weeks worth of menus for three meals plus two snacks each day and includes several recipes. He also advocates regular exercise and the use of numerous topical creams and supplements to ward off inflammation and rejuvenate skin.

Nicholas Perricone Nicholas Perricone is a controversial dermatologist who has written several books, primarily on the subject of maintaining the appearance of youth. He has appeared in a few special programs on PBS, and sells his own line of skincare products. Dr. Perricone presents himself as a radical in the dermatological community, repeatedly encouraging his audience to challenge the status quo. He compares his work relating diet to skincare with Ignaz Semmelweis's work on handwashing and the spread of disease in the 1800s.

Conclusion:
