Nutrition Analysis
A good nutrition program is based on your highly individual metabolism.
I begin by measuring your metabolic rate (the amount of calories
your body burns in one day) by using an effective and non-invasive
machine called The Body Gem. I then evaluate your daily calorie
intake by asking many questions about your diet and lifestyle. Using
this information, I set up a nutritionally balanced diet for you
that is easy to follow and incorporates your individual needs and
preferences. I do not support fad diets. I focus on
modifying behaviors to create long- term success.
Nutrition Education
I help you to adhere to your nutrition plan; including: shopping
and cooking help, healthy recipes, recipe modification tips, label
reading information, menus, and supplement analysis. I focus my
nutritional guidance on helping you learn healthy eating habits
to ward off chronic diseases and diseases of lifestyle
such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, cancer and diabetes.
Fitness Evaluation
Prior to working with you regarding your fitness goals, I like to
meet with you one on one to evaluate your current fitness level
and to find out what you would like to accomplish with personal
training. Whether it be losing 100 pounds or training for a marathon,
I can help you design a program to achieve your goals. I measure
various fitness components to create a starting point
from which to build. I repeat these evaluations often to motivate
you with your progress. These fitness components include: flexibility,
resting heart rate, recovery heart rate, strength, endurance, body
mass index and percent body fat.
Personal Training
Training clients one on one allows me to design a program specific
to your needs. I learn what you like to do, what benefits you and
what motivates you. I use all of this to bring you a personalized,
safe, and fun program. You might be the type of person who likes
a more social workout session or one that uses two or more people
to complete the activities. Small group sessions are dynamic and
fun. Whether you are the same fitness level or of different fitness
levels, small group personal training can be tailored to achieve
the goals of each individual involved.
Behavior Modification
Creating long-term success for you is my objective. I help you evaluate
your current lifestyle and choose a plan of action that
will be safe, fun, effective and do-able for you! I
help you set goals and to design a plan to implement the steps needed
to achieve your goals. I strive to create independence for my clients.
My desire is to help you achieve a healthy lifestyle that will allow
you to realize your dreams!
