Six Pack Abs Questions - How Many Times A Week Should I Train Abs

I have read several articles about working out for your abdominal muscles. Some have said to only work them once a week like your other muscles, while others say work them everyday. I have been working out for a year now and my abdominals are a problem area for me. What advice do I take and how often should I work them?

fitness-advice Answer:
Your abs are like any other muscle group, you need to let them recover to repair and grow properly. Give them at least 24 hours in between workouts and if you train them very intensely, then give them 48 hours. A six pack of defined abdominals simply comes down to decreasing your body fat levels to the point where the top layer of fat over your stomach is decreased and your AB muscles show. Everyone has abs, its just that layer of fat covering it that causes all the issues.
