weight loss success stories When did you become unhappy with your weight?

I became unhappy with myself after I stepped on a scale at the emergency room in the hospital. I went to the hospital because of a rash on my arm. The nurse told me to step on the scale and I was so upset with my body weight that I new I had to do something about it.

I decided to lose the weight because it was affecting my life style. I could hardly tie my shoe and my seven year old daughter had to help me do things. I could hardly bend over to pick up a paper.

The most important changes were to change my eating habits. Also to have a better lifestyle.

Not eating the foods I wanted and was used to eating.

After I lost the first 20 pounds.

It took only 6 months and I'm still losing weight.

I am maintaining my weight loss by eating the right meat, vegetables, fruits and proper exercise.

My self esteem is so much better. I am very proud of the way I look and feel. I am able to buy smaller clothes. I have gone down from a size 32 dress to a 18 dress size.

By getting information on walking and working out. I would not exercise or workout until I decided to make up my mind to do something about my weight gain. You have to make up your mind to want to lose the weight and keep it off. ShapeFit helped me do this!

My average workout consisted of 30 minute walk on the treadmill every morning. Also a 3 to 4 times a week walking 3 1/2 miles around the track field.
