Shannon's Weight Loss!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
After my second was born I just kind of gave up on my appearance.
I was in my mid 20's, overweight and unhappy.
What made you decide to lose weight?
Two years after having my second daughter I knew I wasn't in
shape but didn't realize how overweight I was till I got family
vacation photos back. WoW!! I soon after stepped on the scale
and it said 170 pounds!
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Exercising five days a week. I cut sugar out of my diet 2 years
ago and I count my calories.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
Hitting plateaus. But mostly it was an empowering experience.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
A couple weeks I started seeing changes but I remember mostly
just having tons of energy when I began my exercise regimen.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
11 months.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do
it?
A little over 2 years now.
How has your life changed now that you've lost weight?
I just feel better about every aspect of myself.

It has helped me keep it off. The articles are inspiring and

fitness newsletters which help keep me on track. I'm always

Shannon's Weight Loss Tips!
Weight loss tip #1:
Exercise at least 5 days a week and when your not at the gym
try to go on a walk or scrub your floors, some kind of physical
activity.
Weight loss tip #2:
Count calories
Weight loss tip #3:
Allow yourself a least 100 "cheat" calories a day I
try to keep it healthy
Weight loss tip #4:
Keep a food journal. Sometimes you just don't realize what you
put in you mouth. Especially when you've got kids!
Weight loss tip #5:
Stay positive, don't lose track of your goal and enjoy what your
doing!

Shannon's Weight Loss Eating Plan!
Breakfast:
1 cup egg whites 1 slice sprouted grain toast with a small touch
of 100% fruit jam
Lunch:
Lean meat like turkey breast plain yogurt fruit
Dinner:
Big salad lean meat small portion of a grain like quinoa or brown
rice
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Yogurt, protein shake,carrot sticks and lots of fruit

Shannon's Weight Loss Workouts!
Weight Training:
3 times a week focusing on two areas each session
Cardiovascular:
30-50 minutes 5 times a week. Usually elliptical, running or
biking. I push myself HARD!!
