Tiffany's Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
What made you decide to lose weight?
We had taken a family vacation to the beach, and when I came
home and looked at the pictures, I was horrified! I couldn't believe
how much weight I had gained, and that I didn't even realized
it. I didn't want to be just another fat mom!
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I had to START exercising, and totally change the way I ate.
With 3 small children we had lots of chicken nuggets, pizza and
french fries. We all learned to cut out the junk food and eat
What was most challenging about losing weight?
I got addicted to the exercise really quick, but the eating part
was much harder. I often felt frustrated at not seeing the results
I wanted as fast as I wanted them, and would want to just forget
the whole thing!
How long did it take you to start to see results?
After 6 months I felt better and my clothes fit differently,
the weight started to really come off after about 8 months.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do
I have maintained my current weight for 5 years! I workout 6
days a week and eat clean.
How has your life changed now that you've lost weight?
How has my life NOT changed should be the question! I am a completely
different person now. I am so much happier, and so much more confident
in myself. I am more adventurous and I find that I do things that
before I never would have attempted! I completed my first Olympic
distance triathlon after losing weight. I became certified as
a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer so that I can
share my passion for fitness and healthy living with others, and
help them reach their goals!

Tiffany's Weight Loss Tips!
Weight loss tip #1:
what your weaknesses are when it comes to food, and DON'T keep
those things in your house. If it's not there, you can't eat it!
Weight loss tip #2:
Eat BEFORE you get hungry. I try to eat a small meal or snack
every 2 hours throughout the day. When I let myself get really
hungry, that's when I find myself eating junk.
Weight loss tip #3:
Have a plan when you go out to eat. Think about what you will
order ahead of time, and don't let yourself be tempted by the
high calorie, high fat items on the menu. Many restaurants now
have their nutrition information posted online. I am much less
likely to eat something if I know how fattening it really is!
Weight loss tip #4:
Have one "cheat" day a week for eating. If you know
you can have a hamburger and ice cream on Saturday, it makes it
easier to eat well the rest of the week.
Weight loss tip #5:
Be sensible when it comes to portion size. Even healthy foods
become fattening when you eat too much of them!
Tiffany's Weight Loss Eating Plan!
cup oatmeal with a scoop of protein powder, honey and blueberries,
1/2 cup skim milk.
Turkey wrap on whole wheat tortilla with lettuce and tomato.
Chicken, fish, or whole wheat pasta, a salad with low-fat dressing,
and grilled veggies.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Low-fat cottage cheese, low-fat yogurt, almonds and cashews,
whole wheat pita with hummus, I also drink 2 protein shakes a

I weight train 2 times per week for an hour. I also teach 3
Pilates classes a week.
I teach 4 spinning classes a week, and try to run once a week.
