Ashley Tia’s Weight Loss Story!
When did you become unhappy with your weight?
September of 2011.
What made you decide to lose weight?
In August of 2011, my boyfriend told me that he wished I would stop wearing pajama pants literally 24/7. The next month when I went to the doctor I realized how much I weighed. I started changing my eating habits and exercising the very next day and haven’t looked back since.
What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
Eating healthy, exercising and not making excuses.
What was most challenging about losing weight?
This is hard to answer because nothing was really hard. Sure, I had to work hard to get to where I’m at, but once I made the decision to start, it came easily.
How long did it take you to start to see results?
A week! I lost 3 pounds the first week, 2 more pounds the next week, 3 more pounds after that, and on and on. It was extremely noticeable to everyone else after about a month. It wasn’t just how I looked either, my entire personality and mood changed for the better and everyone I knew noticed.
How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
September 4, 2011 to February 1, 2013. So, a little under a year and a half.
How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
I’m still losing so I haven’t maintained anything, yet. But the way I continue to lose weight is by eating right and exercising.
What keeps you motivated to continue your weight loss success?
How I feel! My mood is happier than I’ve ever been! I have energy and I don’t have to wear pajamas anymore!
How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I exercise a lot! I force people around me to eat better because I cook healthy food. I don’t try to find the closest parking spot. Overall, I’m just happier and more active.
Do you have any advice for others who are trying to lose weight?
Diets don’t work. If you want to lose weight, you need to think of it as a life change. And you have to exercise. Period! Just eating better will not help you lose 100 pounds.

Ashley Tia’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!
Cereal (2 servings) with whole Milk (3/4 cup).
A wrap, sub sandwich, or a salad.
Whole wheat pasta, brown rice, or chicken.
Snacks or Mini Meals:
Protein bars, veggie chips, crackers, nuts, yogurt, McDonald’s vanilla ice cream cone (I’d literally be lost without this!).
I’ve tried Lipo 6 Black Hers Ultra Concentrate. It seemed to work pretty well, but I only took it for two months.
Ashley Tia’s Weight Loss Workouts!
One set of 10-15 reps on each machine. My weight varies, but I don’t try to max out. At the moment, I’m at about 60 pounds on each arm machine and slightly higher on the leg machines.
I like biking, doing the treadmill (running at least 30 minutes a day) and Jillian Michaels 30-Day Shred. I also do Pilates.
