When did you become unhappy with your weight?
When I got to 270 pounds and couldn’t stand looking at pictures of myself. I just felt tired all the time.

What made you decide to lose weight?
I have been trying for years and something just “clicked” in my head and I knew I was on my way.

What were the most important changes you made to lose weight?
I put myself first on my list, made a commitment to myself, no matter what.

What was most challenging about losing weight?
How others reacted to me.

How long did it take you to start to see results?
3 months.

How long did it take for you to reach your current weight?
11 months.

How long have you maintained your weight loss and how do you do it?
1 month. I know it is a lifestyle change that has become a part of my life, not just something I did for 11 months. I eat healthy and never miss a day of exercise.

How has your life changed now that you’ve lost weight?
I have so much more confidence, the world is a whole new place. I feel great mentally and physically. I have so much energy and feel 20 years old again!

Emily’s Weight Loss Eating Plan!

Breakfast:
Bran cereal with wheat germ sprinkled on with lite soy milk. Glass of ice water.

Lunch:
Vegetable soup, lean cut turkey and Swiss sandwich with lite mayo, baked lays chips. Ice water.

Dinner:
Baked chicken or fish, with a salad, lite dressing, sweet potato, ice water.

Snacks or Mini Meals:
Low fat yogurt, almonds or walnuts, high fiber English muffin with lite cream cheese and baby spinach. Ice water

Emily’s Weight Loss Workouts!

Weight Training:
I have 3 pound hand weights I use for my arms.

Cardiovascular:
I run 30 minutes a day, do yoga sometimes and walk.
